1st Grammy win for this song after 15 nominations, Bring My Flowers Now.
master class in song writing, song production, and song performance.
Love it! She is great. What a wonderful career she has had, so many good songs.
She said it herself this song will become her signature song and I think she's so right, it's a masterpiece. What's even more impressive is that she started writing this over 40 years ago and only released it in her golden years when she has so much wisdom to address these lyrics
TANYA BEEN SINGING SINCE SHE WAS 12 YEARS OLD WITH NUMBER ONE HIT DELTA DAWN 1972
This is a new song from Tanya!!! Enjoy it y'all. She just one a Grammy for this song. New album new song!
This was a collaboration between Tanya Tucker, new up and comer Brandy Carlile, and Waylon Jennings son Shooter Jennings. Brandy and Shooter produced Tanyas new album which is fantastic.
Delta Dawn needed time for her rose to fade out.
@Dave Northwater LOL!! That's a good one, except I'm not so sure in Tanya's case that it ever faded. Ha!
she wrote it! It's an amazing song and makes one think about living for today you can't change the past but you can forgive yourself and be the best you can until the end cause you can't take it with you!
What a beautifully written and performed song.
What a powerful song. Tanya has such a unique voice. She had her first hit, "Delta Dawn" at the age of 13 and has only improved with age. Delta Dawn has stood the test of time, in both lyrics and presentation, underscoring Tanya's talent.
@Tupelo Honey Funny thing is I didn't realize this was a new release, as I assumed it was off an older album, maybe ten years ago or so based on her voice and the fact that it wasn't blocked. But what a message and delivery, huh?
@@RockN2Country yes she has a distinctive voice and sticks to traditional country. She won a Grammy this year for this song. She is one of the few keeping it country!
@@RockN2Countryshe literally did this for Ms. Loretta Lynn. If I’m not mistaken she called her shortly before Ms. Lynn passed
Great reaction Don! Tanya Tucker is and always will be at the top of great story telling.
Excellent loved it
Beautiful and powerful song.
Great song Tanya Tucker is awesome #legend love her music and this song earned her a Grammy award & the respect that she's always deserved. She's also way overdue for induction into the country music hall of fame.
Jesse Ray was her favorite horse.
Masterpiece
Thank you so much for reacting to this song! I've been meaning to go back and listen to a recorded version ever since I heard her perform it on the Grammys.
This song was written by Tanya Tucker along with Brandy Carlisle and the twins. She won a Grammy for both best country song and best country album with this song. She's my favorite singer of all times and you yourself noted a lot of the reasons why. All Tanya, all the time....
Always loved this gal! She is really from Wilcox AZ Original home place of Rex Allen. The video that she put out with this song is awesome. Jesse Ray Is her horse that she rides in the video.
Don this is off of her new album called "While I'm Livin" it was written by Tanya and Brandi Carlile and it was produced by Shooter Jennings!
I think that's one of the best and most beautiful songs (let alone, country) I've ever heard. Not surprising that Brandi Carlile was on the writing team for it.
I'd like to request Sleeping Alone by Flatland Cavalry.
@Seth Sinclair.... Yessir... Another great group on the rise!!!
@Seth Sinclair I'll add it to the list. Please be patient with me since the list is long, and if they are a newer band or it's a newer song we just have to hope that it's not blocked. Otherwise, we should be good. Thanks, and welcome to the channel!
Lone Wolf 63 just saw them recently live and it was fantastic.
This song has so much truth in that we don't even think about. Truly beautiful
This is new. Loved Tanya since she was a little girl, over 40 years ago. Even then she sounded like she had lived a long life. Beautiful song.
Love her!
The stories this woman could tell. I hope she gets the chance to tell some more of them before she's gone!🤗❤😎
Tim Hanseroth, Phil Hanseroth, Brandi Carlile & Tanya Tucker
Her voice is amazing
What a beautiful song.... when I seen that you were reacting to this song I knew you would rate it at least 9.5 ..... it’s a new song glad it wasn’t blocked
@Bob Kirkpatrick You know me too well! And what an amazing song. I had no idea it was a recent release, and I am still in (happy) shock that it wasn't blocked. Maybe it's the way some artists and labels are doing things nowadays in order to increase exposure for the artists. I have no idea, and hope they loosen the reigns since reactors/reviewers are pretty much a thing now.
@@RockN2Countryit wasn’t blocked because you stopped it. It was a good song!
I loved that song and what a truth.
As a teenager I was probably the only country music fan in my age group, and I was a big Tanya Tucker fan. I was there for Delta Dawn, San Antonio Stroll, and so many others. I hadn't heard anything from her in years until I heard this one a little while back and it really touched me. I actually had tears in my eyes as I listened to it. 'We all think we've got the time until we don't.' Powerful words!
@Mike Robertson Good stuff, and glad you kept fighting the good fight!! And yeah, Tanya's song hits the feels pretty good.
Love Tanya. She did a few shows with Conway back when my uncle was touring with him. Met her once. Such an amazing singer and beautiful.
That’s awesome. I bet sweet as Mr. Twitty
Seminole Texas is the county seat in the county I grew up in. 1600 square miles with a population of less than 20k. Seminole is part of the flat open expanse of far West Texas. Lots of rattle snakes, dirt, and mesquite trees out there. Not much else.
Excellent song and message. Thank you Don! It reminds me of a song by Paul Thorn called "Give Them Their Roses". If you get a chance, give Paul Thorn a chance. He is amazing.
Thanks for doing this song. I’ve lost so many. Need to think about this a lot.
♥️😭
Hey Don. I just finished watching your reaction to this song. There are so many times when I listen to your reactions that I am led to appreciate a song even more. No one does it better. Thank you for you.
Tanya said this song took 40 years and 20 minutes to write. She had the chorus in her head for 40 years but didn't have any verses to go with it. On the last day of recording her album, Brandi Carlile suggested they finish the song. It took them about 20 minutes to finish the lyrics and they recorded it that same day.
The whole album is great as she also won a grammy for Country Album of the Year besides this song winning Song of the Year. They were her 1st two grammy wins. What's also amazing is that Brandi and her bandmates Phil and Tim Hanseroth wrote 6 of the 10 songs on the album specifically for Tanya by just researching her life on google. You reacted to Brandi and the twins a while back to their song "The Eye". She's also a member of The Highwomen along with Amanda Shires, Maren Morris and Natalie Hemby.
Was this featured on the documentary???
Thanks for the reaction Don. I've been loving Tanya since she first started singing. Her voice is lower than I remember but the style is unmistakable. Great song. First time I've heard it. Cheers, Steve
Yes she is older. Ladies voices drop when they get older.

She will ALWAYS have it ;)
Wow! This is beautiful.
If you haven't seen the video for this song, I highly recommend it because it one of the best videos ever.

Thank you for reacting to this beautiful, heart wrenching song. I heard it almost a month ago in my car, and had to pull over and weep...
@Roechelle Breeding .... Sure glad I wasn't driving when I heard it just now for the first time.... I'd have had to do the same thing ma'am...
Tanya is one of a kind. Nobody compares to her.
It new song came out about two are three years
She is such a queen!! Saw her at my first concert with Little Texas where they opened for Travis Tritt. Early 90’s style!! Don you are the GOAT of reaction channels!! Keep killing it sir!!
I like your take on that Don. Good advice good thing for us all to practice actively loving people every day.
If this song doesn't grab you get to a funeral home because you're dead

Hey Don,
I have soooo much to say today but I'll try to be brief.
So glad you're having fun with this channel!! MANY of us are as well.
Also glad someone is actually admitting publicly the absolute amount of ART that comes through OUR music... Thank you sir...
Tanya has been around a long time for a reason. She's a REAL artist and person.... She's done things her own way in a world that can be tough to do that.... Thanks Tanya... ♥️
Yeah.... If you have something sweet and good to say to me ..... Do it now!!!
I've literally looked DEATH square in the eye several times.... Due to riotous living, a former profession I worked at for several years and health issues.
Please bring my flowers NOW!! Thanks again Don for another great reaction.
KEEP RN2C BROTHER!!!!
@Lone Wolf 63 Thank you for the tremendous post! Sometimes in life things don't go the way want or expect, and we're so much better off for it. When it comes to country---like, real, deep, down home, real-people real-life country---I am so happy to have found this at this point in my life. I can appreciate so much about it, and I love seeing what I'm seeing. I have no issue going rogue and letting the naysayers know what really goes on with true country. They'll come around eventually. And when they do, the party gets bigger and the appreciation goes up, and the artists have more fans for real-life stories and depth of intellect and artistry. I began a little file for a video I'm going to do about why I love traditional country, and what the appeal is. Maybe that will help peel the onion back further and help people see it never was an onion, it was perfectly ripe mango. Ha!
@@RockN2Country I look forward to seeing what you present to your fans from that file!! It will be good...
Thanks Don... Keep up the hard work you're doing brother!!! We'll be watching...
