The biggest pro of candles for me is the ambiance. Nothing beats the flicker and glow of a candle on a cold day when you’re snuggled up or when you’ve just cleaned and light a new candle. Pro for was melts is the variety. Once you’ve entered the vendor wax world the combinations are endless. You can even create custom blends with vendors that offer that option (you can with some indie candle brands too but much more so with wax melts). Wax melts are fun but candles set the mood. Wax melt take up less storage but candles don’t deteriorate as quickly/ has a longer shelf life. You can have you candles for years and they’ll still throw but wax melts, because of packaging will become weaker as the years pass. Even if you store them in the proper bags. I could go on and on. I love and buy both but I’m a candle lover at heart.

Loved this video! I bought a whole set up, including wax melts to venture off into that world. I haven't set it up but maybe I will soon. I feel more informed now. The franken-melts idea is AMAZING!

Tip for wax melting: put the wax cubes in silicone muffin cups in the larger wax warmers. Zero clean up!

a pro (sometimes) i find with candle burning is the extra scent the burning of the wicks gives off. it sounds a little odd to like a burn smell but I find that for some candles it improves the scent. for example Pumpkin Apple from bbw is WAY better in candle form than any other form bc of that candle burning smell imo.

Awesome video . I really like all of the candles 🕯 that you hauled from Aldi . I love 💕 wax melting and candle 🕯 burning 🔥. Wax melts are just cheaper.

Navy blue is another great color on you.
How long do you freeze your wax melt container in the freezer to be able to pop the wax out?
You hit all the highs and low of both candle burning and wax melting for me.
I always enjoy your videos. 😁

Thank you! Well I’ve heard two hours but I usually have to leave it in for about 4 hours to get it frozen enough to pop out!

Great video! Commenting to let you know about wax melt liners; you can pop wax out once they dry, save them for later, and use a different scent. Only downside is that your wax melter needs to have a wide enough mouth to fit the liner into. The wall units tend to be a little bit too small for them. I heard you could also use silicone cupcake liners if you need more space for multiple cubes.
I really like the idea of mixing your own wax melt combos. I’ll have to keep an eye out for things I can mix together.

Can you melt any wax in any warmer? It seems like your list was not the typical stuff. Thanks.

I did wax melts for years, but I’m too klutzy and kept spilling them. I also think wallflowers and candles last longer, but the wax melts are cheaper. Anyway, I’m team candle and wallflowers lol.

I use tinfoil to clean up my wax melter - I heat it up till its liquid, and simply pour it into a little boat I shape out of tinfoil. Then clean out my wax melter with windex (since there's usually a bit of an oily residue left over) and its all good. Just be careful not to make a mess or spill it.

The Aldi's Pear Cider candle is hoard worthy IMO. Interesting take on the candle versus wax melts as get so upset after half burn there is no candle scent throw while burning.

I put a candle lid on a candle, thinking it had smothered out the flames. I came home from work, the flame was still going. So now I put up a post it note to remind myself to double check that they are out! ♥️🛍♥️🛍

Remember you have tea light wax melts so that eliminates the con of moving them around …don’t you think so. I don’t use tea light wax melt because they don’t get got enough for me.
