The Deus II works pretty good in California's soil.

Heya Rick - same old same old. I'm guessing it is already dried out from all that rain...and then compacted even harder by this summer.

Hello Hunter. I like your review. One thing, can I use the light and solar panel as a flag pole light? What I need to know, can I turn on the light without using the motion sensor. I want to leave my flag flying all night so I need a solar light without the motion sensor. I need the light to stay on until morning. Will this light work for me?
PS You programed my Deus II a couple years ago, and I am so happy with my detector. I told you I ordered the Manticore and when I got it I would drive up to Fresno again and have you program it for me. Well I canceled that order because it was taking too long. It seems to me Minelab was sending to everyone who had a youtube channel, and I don't have one so I have been left out. Sorta pissed at Minelab. I have been finding so many silver coins my NOX 800 passed over I feel now I don't want the Manticore. Anyways, I will not be bringing my Manticore to you for programing. I have not forgot about you, in case your wondering. Too, my doctor tells me I have mesothelioms and now I am so short of breath I cannot metal detect anymore. The Doc tells me after a few more test we can figure out a plan to fight, so hopefully in the future I will be able to get back out there to hunt some more. Thanks again for turning my Deus II into a silver coin magnet.
    Harry

Hi Harry! It does not have a pole adapter to it, and with the ON setting it will run out of battery juice in roughly 50-60 minutes. So as a constant light source, this would not be it. Removing the sensor would mean cutting internal wires as well. Bummer on the Manticore, not sure why they are being so selective with it. I have some buddies who already got theirs, and others who are still waiting as well. Sorry to hear the news about the meso - keep your head up and never give up. Keep in touch anytime my friend.
