Good night captures Brenden, burning the midnight oil paid off. I remember in the early 1970's my cousin Kevin used to go to Broadmeadows station for Friday night fights with his mates the "Albion Bashers" and the "St Albans Mongrels" join forces, he wouldn't get home until daylight often with a black eye and other sundries! The station was a wild place in the 1970's at night. Good dynamic braking from the G532 Qube job, pity they painted the portholes, "CRM" and Chinese writing on the hoppers? Nice to see an "AN" class, they have vanished from western NSW.
The AN is a regular on the Brisbane Intermodal. Certainly not appearing as much on the containers to Griffith as it used to. Broady has certainly changed over the years and it's alot safer now.
The signal on the Up line at Broadmeadows was showing a Low Speed aspect, i would assume it'd be a medium speed. I wonder if it's because of the track geometry or other reasons
CLF was the freight variant rebuilt from the Commonwealth Railway CL class. C Class was Victorian Railways from the 1970s and the 442 class from the NSW Goverment Railways Days
I admire your dedication being at Broady station so late at night!
It's alot safer than what it used to be! So I'm happy to wander over even if it's 2am 😀😀
The Comeng in the first scene looks in pristine condition. Amazing.
One of the life extended Alstoms mate. They look great when given a makeover.
I watched this for the second time but this time on the big tv with the sound way up, it is awesome.
4K must look great on the big set!
Sterling service on the nightshift 👍
Probably after I finished a Sterling nightshift on the trams 😀😀

Sick trains
Yes mate. You just have to go out at night
great stuff.. late night trains are always the best
Yes mate. I enjoy getting out at night as well where there are no interruptions and you can just hear the train.
Loved this video.
Thsnks for having a look 😀😀
AWESOME
Thanks 😀😀

No idea to be honest. I assume it's to do with the diamond crossover as the train is crossing the down mainline track to access the Jacana Goods
Some fantastic EMD sounds of various generations, though the loco numbering still confuses me: CLF1, C501, 44233? 🤷

We need grain wagons full not empty
I'm assuming these trains were fully loaded
if you were lucky enough you would have caught the indian pacific going through it was diverted due to the floods 😃
It rolled past as I was pulling up!
@@Schony747 ahh ok
Plenty of freight trains at broady. Btwn what hours is this run and day of the week?
The night time stuff happens after 6pm right through until around 11pm. There's only half a dozen freights but it's worthwhile.
@@Schony747 is that the busiest freight line?
