Corvette Z06 and the Autel X-Star Drone

Learning tips BELOW...
The goal was to use the X-Star Premium in Follow-Me mode to catch some cool shots in the Z06... Although the X-Star did a great job, it became more of a learning experience, so that next time... it might be better.
Here are some tips:
- Set max distance high, since it monitors distance from home point
- Do not slow down and wait for the drone to catch up - it just slows the unit down
- The dronewill ocassionally fly beyond the controller... it does not predict speed, but reacts to it... slowly
- The drone will not take off like a rocket... if moving away fast, the drone hesitates while processing the signal change
- The drone will not fly in a straight line, so be cautious of things like trees on the side f a road, as you can see in this video, the drone often found itself over trees. Ideally, a clear open road with the drone flying at a lower altitude will provide better results.
** As always, it would be best to have a separate person at the RC to adjust gimble
Shot with a ND4 as it was still morning. Exposure and video was great, as usual with the Autel.

results were less than anticipated. But learned a lot about the mode. Will retry, hopefully with better results. Those trees, surely didn't help... and I notice a bunch of antennas on a roof top... where the drone kept going off course... maybe that is why is was not solid on the path.

Video was eh. Follow mode looks like it really suck on the drone, maybe there's a way to make it closer to the ground for better shots, but that just wasn't very good. I'm not sure what mic you're using, but it's definitely not cutting it. You have an $80,000 Z06, so you should be able to afford a better mic. Also your audio wasn't really synced up to the drone video. I really only noticed it when you were doing those little mini drifts. More shots would have made for a better video, rather than almost completely follow shots. Diiging the drone though, and definitely the car. I'd like to see more videos kind of like this. Maybe a burnout video?

Thanks for watching and the comments. I agree with the poor quality. The Autel's follow-me mode is not precise enough for lower flying with those trees on the side. You will see how it floats over the tree tops at times. The speed is also a factor in the follow-me mode for a car. I have the new Mavic and hope to try that out soon. As for the car... it is a Z06 with the Z07 package so those numbers get pushed at bit ;) so, you are again correct... if I am going to continue to produce, I need to get better equipment. Soon be be at the track and hope to use the drones and the car...
