So the files will have to be shared manually? Like, once they purchase from the website, they won't be able to get the link automatically..I'd have to see that they made a purchase for that product, and send it to the email that they provided?

Thank you. If it’s just a small number of files I just attach right on Etsy. But larger amounts of files need to use Google drive
If the file is small enough you can upload to Etsy.

How do I attach this pdf to my Etsy listing? When I click to add file, it brings up my drives and when I click on Google drive (which is where I stored the pdf I created with the download links), a box comes up that says "Authentication Required To view the items in this folder, you need to authenticate in the Drive app.
Open Drive".
Then I open drive and there's no way to click on a file to add to Etsy

How does this work if you have multiple file sizes? I.E i have 1 digital bundle print in 4 different sizes. Would i have to make 4 different hyper links for the size? or is there a way to group them together so i only have 1 link?
Hey! As far as I know you'd need 4 different Canva links.
Compress your prints so they are a zip file or upload them to google drive as a folder instead of individual prints. You'd share the file the same way but you'd only have 1 link instead of 4 👍🏾
I've been going crazy tryna figure this out holy. I know I'm late but I had a question, I've tested buying other folks digital products and mockups, and so when when I receive the link to get my product the sellers google drive account and everything doesn't show up (which is what you want), is that how this works? what you explained? because I don't wanna mess up then somehow they can see/get access to my entire google drive lol. Just wanna be sure

I'm glad it worked! Lol. Trust me, I was scared the whole world would have access to everything too. Always test the link in incognito mode and you should see what a customer would see. Thanks so much for posting this question. I know other people will also be wondering about this.

Thanks for the video. I see many people do entire store sell with past and future access. In that case how do we share the link to customer?
They probably give their customers a link to a Google drive folder where they keep adding docs.
What's to stop anyone from sharing the link to the purchased product? Once the purchase is completed on Etsy and buyer downloads the document with the download link, it can be shared with anyone ("anyone with the link").
Yes, I know. Be sure to add your branding to your downloads to try to prevent that. Anybody can do that with any digital product sold online, unfortunately. I'm looking at ways to protect us and I'll do a video on whatever I find.
So if multiple people purchase the document, are they all modifying the same item on Google Docs?
Not as long as you only share with them as a viewer. If you share and give them editor rights they'll be able to make changes to your master copy so be careful.

You should be able to go to the file dropdown and choose share with others

Yes. That's what they should receive when they buy your product.

What maximum size file can we upload to Etsy via google drive?
It's the same as it would be for any product file. For example, if it's max 20mb for a digital product, the same goes for this.
Do they have to log into Google and order to use that Google link?

How do you keep people from sharing the link with others who have not purchased the product?
I haven't figured that out yet. I warn people that it's copyrighted but it's hard to totally prevent this.

Thank you. Theyll only see the documents assigned to that link.
I always test out the link to make sure I'm giving out the link correctly.
How do you protect against ppl sharing your link though?
You really can't. With any digital product it's a chance we take. I'm looking for a way to help prevent it. If I find it I'll share it.

The link goes to your customer but yes, technically anoyone can share any digital product. Make sure you make it clear that your products are copyrighted but unfortunately it's a risk we take.

No, I upload it in the listing in place of the actual product.
