Love your videos; I use them instead of blood pressure medication. Watching all the new ones as they come out and catching up on the old ones. Thanks for the uploads. All the best from an old Pom in South Africa.
Thanks for sharing the good life with us all Paul. So great to vicariously experience some of the beautiful vistas out there in the great outdoors, especially those few spectacular sunsets! It certainly is a blessed life, so nice to see someone seeking out the little moments of gratitude particularly in such trying times. It’s definitely the little things ;) Your videos are becoming addictive, almost as much so as veggie bacon for us vegans out there! Looking forward to the next adventure.
Wonderful vid, beautiful place. We did wonder about the noise. You said we might be able to hear the freeway, but it sounded like an army of crickets or flying insects, or maybe somebody constantly frying something on a neighbouring boat. 🍳🦗
I enjoyed watching your video while eating breakfast. We're in Winter here in Maine, U.S. and it was nice to watch you and your boat in warm weather while we are dealing with ice and snow. I wish you a Happy New Year!
With regard to trailer bearings, never over-pack them with grease, it'll only cause overheating problems..Best way is to clean and pack them by hand only..Once you've been shown how, it's pretty simple.
I enjoyed the watch! It’s amazing to me the sounds of the forest, They seemed pretty loud and very beautiful! And giving up meat, that’s quite an adventurous move!! At least you still have coffee ;-)
Yep the cicadas were a real problem audio wise, up at Myall Lakes they can get to white noise level, makes it hard to hear any other birds. Giving up meat really isn't that hard.....after a few weeks you don't miss it. Thanks for watching.
Great video! Looking forward to finishing my little boat so I can enjoy the same sort of fun! I agree with you chocolate choice, also my wife's favourite though mine is Aldi's dark chocolate.
Beautiful! My dear late grandparents lived in Wahroonga and I spent many summers growing up in this wonderful part of the world. Thank you for bringing up some lovely memories!
As always bro ! Enjoyed your vid here in the National Park near Sidney. Great Wx n scenery. Like 👍 that “Galley Box”. If I can buy a “mini Cruiser/Dingy without too much fuzzy from my wife n daughter … I’m 77 yrs now. They’d really want dad to stay on land. But my salty soul would love 💕 one more wack at sailing ⛵️ out in Puget Sound again .. looking at a Sparrow 16’ or Soveign 5 currently.. nothing close n on the market near Seattle at the moment ! So I’ll sail with you sir ! Cheers n fair winds, Papa J
Hi Grant thanks, Kate Louise is a Stornaway 18 made by Scruffie Marine and they come as a pre made kit. They were made in the U.K. for a few years but they are about to hit the market again in Sydney shipping worldwide. Thanks for watching, cheers Paul
I'm really enjoying your video, such a beautiful waterway. We did a lot of sailing years ago all around Pittwater and the Hawkesbury. Thank you Paul for sharing. By the way the curry looks good, I am sure I could smell it !
Hi Carol thanks for watching, yes it is a nice part of the world though there were probably less jet skis when you sailed there. I hoping to go further bit field when the rain stops ,maybe down to St Georges Basin or Jervis Bay. Thanks again, Cheers Paul
Morning Paul thanks for another great video. It’s a cold winter’s morning here in the U.K. and you are keeping us going until we can hopefully get out on the water in the Spring. Love your boat and the all the detail you go into, the curry sounds and looks great. Hope you managed to fix the mizzen boom. Fair winds and calm seas Geoff
Hey Paul. I don't live too far away and I like taking my sailboat out on the Hawkesbury as well. Can't trailer mine though haha. Would you suggest any good places to stop up Cowan Creek or further up the other way towards Berowra Waters? I'm looking for a few new places to pull up for the night. Love the video by the way. Cheers.
@@SailingKateLouise no from the Brooklyn area. The boat is a 27ft sloop with solid keel. I'd like to get a trailer sailor like yours at some point, particularly a wooden one.

Another great video of Broken Bay Area. Sun. Catering Indian takeaway at Wentworthville for great vegetarian food. Try the yellow sweet curry with 3 other curries if you do go there.
hi you mentioned that you launched at apple tree bay, is there enough wind to actually sail from there? seems like it would be a bit too sheltered to get a decent breeze i'm thinking of buying/building a trailer sailer and i live in turramurra so would be very convenient to be able to launch from there! thanks
Hi Arthur, I live in Hornsby and often put in at Appletree Bay or Parsley Bay at Brooklyn. Appletree bay has a great ramp, lots of parking and never really crowded. However be aware of Oysters on left of ramp before the jetty starts, can get interesting if the wind is in the wrong direction. Cowan Creek generally has light winds and the high sides means winds can be flukey and change direction by 180 degrees with little warning.. Another downside is jetskis, there are many but mainly at the weekends during the week it is beautiful. Parsley Bay at Brooklyn also has a good ramp with Jetty and parking but it's a nightmare at the weekends in summer. Be there by 6am or you won't get a park for the trailer. having said that there is some overflow parking up the top.During the week is also perfect. Let me know when you have decided on a boat to buy or build I would like to follow the process and always good to sail with new people. my email is sailingkatelouise@gmail.com cheers Paul
@@SailingKateLouise thanks for the info, much appreciated. i'm still very much in the planning/dreaming stage at the moment but ill definitely get there at some point. i will probably end up building because there doesn't seem to be much out there that really suits me. for now im happy tearing around pittwater on my laser but winter certainly makes a proper (dry) boat more appealing! i'm very glad to have found your channel, has given me a lot of ideas for places to explore. cheers, arthur
