The reality-the basic M1 with 32 giga ram is more than enough for 99% of all the `pros` on you tube:) It´s amazing how easy it is to manipulate people to buy useless stuff ...

My 2tb on the M2 Max Studio is getting around 6700+ Write and 5300+ read.

Nice video, only thing I would suggest is maybe adding some kind of graph for the numbers as I didn’t get at first until you said 19% faster.

I hope this comment helps, I bought MAC studio M2. I bought with 512 GB. I added external 4TB. I am using it for Final Cut pro to make RUclips video and it is working good. Adding external ssd was cheaper and best alternative for me.

It would be nice if instead of comparing numbers you state how it performs using apps. Like photoshop and any video apps. Is it good enough? Too slow etc. Numbers alone mean little.
Using the 30-core GPU model, 64GB Unified Memory, 2TB SSD Storage. On average after 10 tests with Blackmagic Disk Speed Test (6200 Write, 5200 Read)
So similar speeds to the 1TB speed, good to know. Thank you
I'm running a M2 Max, 38 Core GPU, 64GB RAM and 1TB SSD. My tests with Blackmagic on average showed me 6170 Write and 5170 Read

This is almost the spec I am looking to purchase, adding the $200 38 GPU, 2TB HD and 64GB ram, this comes to $3,300 $700 more and you have an Ultra, I'm still weighing up what to do.
But for $700 more you would only get 1 TB of storage.
I just ordered that exact spec but only 1 TB hard drive as I have external hard drives with lots of space. Can't wait for it to come in!
What did you decide? Ultra or no Ultra?

Get large ssd I know it’s a huge investment but as a long term perspective note that ssd read/ write cycles are limites so the beggar dos’ you have the longer you’ll keep you mac and also get a lifetime apple care with the yearly subscription as the max studio cannot be upgradable and the fan grid can be the weak point of the device .
If you make profit out of your computer , always max out .
