i saw you comment about the new spawing mechanics and thought that the update came already so instead of the buttons, i put trapdoors and the farm wasnt working, then i checked through the comments and saw u said that its coming in june, the relief i had when the farm started working again after i replaced trapdoors with buttons, great vid and thank you

Small little tip, if you don't wanna destroy a lot more trees for trapdoors to put in between the blocks, you can use coral fans, the creepers thinks it's a full block and they'll fall through it, also thank you blazed for the farm, it works really good, keep up the good work 👍

Farm is working great, thank you. Rates for anyone wondering, with 8 layers and looting 3 I got 1184 or 18 and a half stacks in an hour.

@@massivediamond1807 No longer works with buttons, can fix it with trap doors though. BlazedMC has a video on fixing this farm.
Built this on PS5. It definitely works I let it run for an hour and got 10 stacks.
I used coral fans in the holes instead of trap doors since I heard they don’t have a hitbox.
All in all took about 10-12 hours to build (including gathering materials).
Hopefully 1.21 100% tnt drop makes it easier to farm logs.

Farm works great. I recommend not adding the trapdoors on the ceilings, still gets you lots of gunpowder and you can get bones and rotten flesh from it to
Hey, me again from the enderman farm video. I’m trying to make a farm that gives me only about 1 stack of gunpowder per hour for fireworks to my elytra. I’m not trying to build a nuclear reactor like every other video tells me to do so do you have any suggestions?

Quick question, do you need to be 24 blocks away for mobs to spawn (the bottom layers wont work if so), meaning you need to move the killing chamber further down?
I find it changes from person to person. Every world is different

The farm is working but the creepers wont fall down im in 1.21 using trapdoors method the creepers arebjust standing it takes the time to move any fix?

build a layer not complete but all the trap doors in the holes and nothing spawned what could be the issue

In the new update coming out In june, all you need to do is change the buttons to trapdoors :)

Did you miss any buttons / trapdoors? (if its zombies and skeletons you likely missed some trapdoors on the roof.).
I built several layers with all trap doors (to prepare for 1.21) but did the first layer with buttons and trapdoors but im not getting any spawns there. Im on 1.20.81, hard, and I've restarted the game. Its completely dark so im unsure what i did wrong. I used concrete for the layers and wool/wool carpets for the roof.

I built my farm over an ocean You can still see land but it's quite a bit away and it works but it spawns everything else, like spiders and skeletons What should I do?

Man this is an expensive farm. 15 stacks of oak logs for the trapdoors. Its a great farm, its just a grind lol, but i enjoy the grind

Sadly not, unless you change the hoppers for a minecart system below. However the XP will get to you eventually.
@BlazedMCs a found a bit of a solution. I can stand somewhat below the hoppers allowing the path for the xp to flow better without accidently picking up the trident. Thanks for your help!

I’m having an issue where the mobs don’t spawn unless I pillar out and up a bit for a afk point. I can’t figure out why. Any help?
Sometimes bedrock is weird. I would just make that your afk spot and periodically go down to grab the xp
sometimes the creepers explode when i stand in the exact spot you said to stand at any tips?
Change the spot a little bit, maybe back up 2 steps.
I did it with all trapdoors first because of the update soon, but the trapdoors on the top of each layer prevent most mobs from spawning, so use buttons:)
Did you try this? You used trapdoors instead of buttons and they weren’t spawning, then when you switched back to buttons they spawned?
If you simply replace all buttons with trapdoors, it won’t change the spawning rate since mobs couldn’t spawn on the buttons anyways.

that's weird they shouldn't be able too. Maybe just add some torches / sea lanterns

Mine isn’t spawning any mobs. Could it be because I’m on a realm? I made sure to put trapdoors on where the buttons would have been too. I tried breaking the torches on the top of the farm and mobs were spawning but I can’t get them spawning where they should be

@@BlazedMCs I got it working by replacing the trapdoors with buttons. I’m not sure why the trapdoors weren’t working but now the farm works great!

You don't have to, you could kill them manually
I have creepers spawning but they seem not to move and go into the trap doors is that something to do with playing on minecraft preview?
I’m trying to think of a fix for this. It still works but slows down the rates a bit. Some people have suggested cats on the middle or outside

Make sure you have all trapdoors on the ceilings in the correct locations.

Mob spawning is going to change in 1.21 update will this farm work in 1.21 ?
It’s hard to say. I believe creepers will still spawn, however so may other mobs too. It might just need some slight adjusting when the new update comes out

anyone having the issue where a bunch of creepers are spawning but very little falling? I afked for 4 hours and came back to 28 gun powder… but there were a bunch of creepers in the spawning area. Just didn’t make it to the bottom?

Yup, you may have to spawn proof more around you though.

WARNING: Check my channel for a 1.21 updated tutorial!! (The differences are change buttons to trapdoors and roof trapdoors to buttons). Also don’t build in a river biome, mobs cannot spawn there.

warning to anyone building in 1.20, i Just built the whole farm with trapdoors instead of buttons. I'm on 1.20.81 and no creapers are spawning.

Yes but you are not going to like it , basically you replace the ceiling trapdoors with buttons

Yes that would work but you couldnt get the xp. Just step back a block or 2

Try AFKing at different spots, as bedrock can be weird and buggy. Also are you on hard?

Make sure the trident killer is in 1 chunk not in 2 chunk borders
For trident killers the chunk borders don’t matter

Other youtubers are wrong, lol. Unless I'm the luckiest guy ever, I've built at least a hundred of them and never ran into any issues.

sadly this farm will be broken in the next update, good news tho piston mob farms will be coming back with the fixed spawning :O
hopefully they will fix the skulk catalyst soon enough, been working on a mob farm design for months using them and floor sweepers.
How is it getting patched?
How would this be an issue in this farm surly they would just spawn on the full clear blocks with the trapdoor above
@@BlazedMCs they fixed the mob spawning, I don't think it will break all farms but everyone and even silent is saying it will break all the farm, they fixed the bug of the mobs spawning on the corner of the blocks and they will now spawn in the center, it will break any scaffolding and pushing farms

so im about almost done building it. im on realm so i built it 150 blocks away from land and 150 above water, so far im on the 4th level and im still not getting any creepers, only drowned in the water level. will it for sure start working once i put a roof over it?
also forgot to mention that im on survival realm and this material list is absolutely insane its taking me multiple days to finish up the farm hopefully i didnt just spend these past couple days on this for it not to work

Realms might affect it, i'v seen mixed comments about it. Also yes I tested and it works in every version up to the current 1.21 snapshots.

mine isn’t working on playstation in hard mode. i’m over an ocean and did 4 layers and nothing is spawning. any clue why.
i also did build close to a monument but before finishing it i did a test and a whole bunch of mobs did spawn on the top layer before i put the last trap doors on the ceiling.
That's weird. You should probably spawn proof the monument, it could be taking all the creeper spawn away.

It should work. Are you on peaceful? Try reloading your game, and if that doesn't work you can try downloading my world to see where you messed up.
@@BlazedMCs well i’m on hard mode but i don’t know if it’s this but i’ve built it above a monument and the spawnproofing didn’t work very well and lot’s of guardians spawn especially the entrance to it so i will be draining out the the entire monument for not allowing mobs to spawn plus make new farms

@@andreassiegkaris4082 check out SilentWisperer’s Guardian Farm, he shows a way to prevent spawns just from placing pillars on their spawn points. Way quicker than draining the monument unless you want to drain it.
@@andreassiegkaris4082 that should help a lot. Monuments spawn a TON of mobs, so that could be stopping the creepers from spawning.
