Some people usually give ages because some age groups signify a sense of maturity for different genders. For women, people would usually say 24 upwards and for men, sometimes 28 upwards but that’s all speculative. To start thinking of marriage, we believe parties should be financially, mentally, spiritually and emotionally stable. 2. Usually what has been predominant is men being older than their wives. There’s no specific age difference that is acceptable. In the Bible, Abraham was 9 years older than Sarah however society today would frown on certain gaps. The important thing is that both parties are comfortable with the age diffence between them. From what we saw in the older generation were age differences as much as 8-15 years betweeen husband and wife. In this generation, the difference is a little shorter so it’s relative. Some people with higher age gaps have succeeded and also failed, same with smaller age gaps so it’s all subjective. So we’d say whatever is comfortable for you and the person you intend to , that should work for you. We hope this helps.
