I once interviewed several groups of Sikhs for a radio programme. I developed a deep respect for the whole community and for the premises of the Sikh faith.
I never met a Sikh I didn't like. The only ones I did, were a group of younger teenage lads I used to play street football with when I was newly arrived, and friendless in Leeds about 20 years ago. Also, the fact that their martial vigour gives the Ghurkas a run for their money, heightens their standing in my mind.

I'm a Pakistani from Huddersfield and I find this very shameful on the part of Pakistani's, I am a punjabi all the same and grew up in Leeds, my friends in school were sikh and my father was born in Kenya and the Gudvahra and Mosque were side by side and i have a lot of love and respect for the Sikh community. I think that this one bad apple in your Sikh community, shouldn't be highlighted in the media as much as it has, I've been listening to the Sikh youth group discussion and they mentioned that the Sikhs have been the target of hate crimes, in defence of the Sikhs at least it isn't as common and he would of been isolated from his own family, unlike some of the Pakistani's from the grooming gangs that have felt comfortable enough to bring their own uncles and brothers into this awful shameful crime, and next time someone mentions the Sikhs that have been involved, u can say that it is a lot less acceptable and he was just a bad apple, who knew that it was something that he had to keep from his family.

We all know guys that the Sikh community here in the uk are hard working respectful people . Most of us understand that these two guys are are not the norm in the Sikh community and that the Sikh community will be feeling for the victims and their families. it took a week for them to speak up...an the only one who has spoke up with facts is mohan singh, raj from speakers corner also acknowledged he was speak, the rest of the sikhs hid in denial for a full week spreading lies! there is nothing great about that!
