FAQ:
Q: Can I send you a deck to check out?
A: Only patrons can send me decks and expect a reply, because I get too many of these requests to manage. Consider joining the discord (links above) and posting your decks in the #decks channel for community feedback.
Q: Why didn’t you play this certain card I would play?
A: Because I don’t think it is as good as every other card in the deck.
Q: Why did you make that play at time stamp XX:XX?
A: I usually talk through my plays, so watch again and see if I mention it (I often do, sometimes during the turn after the play to keep the video moving). If I don’t mention it at all, I may have missed it. I miss plays several times a day, and so do other players.
Q: How can I support the channel?
A: Watching the videos IS supporting the channel. There are many options above if you have extra money and would like to help more. I appreciate it, I have a lot of bills and life stuff to manage, but it is not required. Take care of yourself first, watch the videos, then give other financial support if you really want to.
Q: Will you play janky deck xyz?
A: My mission is to show people decks that they can play often, win games with, and feel successful with. I don’t enjoy decks that strive to achieve an interaction but rarely win (aka, janky decks). There are many successful jank players on RUclips, and you should check out their channels. I am competitive, I like winning, and I like helping others win and feel successful. That is why you won’t see janky combo decks on the channel very often.
Q: Do you show all your games, or do you edit out your losses?
A: I don’t show all my games. The video is usually the best moments of between one and three hours of recording. I remove games for a number of reasons, both wins and losses. Some games are slow, some aren’t competitive because of lands, some are the same matchup over and over. More losses get cut out than wins because winning is more fun for me, which makes for better content for most viewers. It can be disappointing for those who want to see me lose (yes, people watch just to see me lose, I see you!).
Q: If you edit out some of your losses, how do I know if a deck is good and worth crafting?
A: If you watch the entire video, I always give my honest opinion about the deck at the end. As always, you are welcome to draw your own conclusions. My goal is to show off a variety of decks that can get a player with skill and conviction into Mythic, and I want them to have fun doing it. I almost never show a video of a deck that I don’t believe in, and if I don’t like a deck after playing it, I guarantee you will know about it if you watch the whole video and listen to what I have to say.

This is one of my favorite Kaldheim decks. Unfortunately, it loses to mono-white most of the time. And there are tons of mono-white.

I've had good luck mixing in more cards like brazen borrower and unsommon. Helps with their counter mill cards and keeping heliod off field

I am sure the sky noodle understands. I know he/she/it loves you too and knows that you need to move to different decks. Yorion is a nomad after all.

This felt like a really different deck than the usual ladder picks and I really enjoyed seeing it, and seeing it win a few games!

Back in my day mono blue was a deck to be feared! Snap, Unsummon, Capsize to throw all the creatures back to your opponents hand. No creatures? No problem, Mana Short and Brain Geyser to have your opponent draw ALL the cards! While the Black Vice squeezes there life points to NOTHING! MUHAHAHAHAHAHA

I was getting worried during that match vs the discard but was rewarded with a hard cast typhoon. Silly me I should have known its shark week and a half and the hard cast was inevitable...
I usually hold the spirit for turn 3 against most red, also omenkeel is pretty tight with the spirit on turn 3 because you get a 3/3 attack and can hold up 2 mana for counter/pump

I know the shufflers fine thing is a joke, but I wish people would look into how often statistical anomalies happen in small sample sizes. These things happen, and often. Maybe an easy one to help understand is how many people you need to have in a room to have a good chance two have the same birthday, it’s much lower than someone would think.

Hey cgb do you like saw it coming? I feel like the cycle counterspell is better or even just plain old essence scatter negate split might be better in multicolored decks because of double blue cost.

Kind of think the creator of that hoodie probably should have stopped at The Dark in the chronological placing of the set releases instead of continuing on to Fallen Empires. We like to pretend that we skipped FE. ;)
Well, when I say "we" I really mean people who could afford to buy a bunch of cards from those other sets. As someone without a ton of money at the time, I was enamored of FE because its inability to sell too well (due to a pretty poor card pool all things considered) meant that I could buy more packs than I ever had before. So many new cards in my hands. So few good ones. :(

Hey im a brand new player only been playing for a couple days now and I'm hooked so much fun, there is an overwhelming amount of things to learn though and I understand it will take years to achieve good strategies and building my own decks and what not but does anyone here with some experience have any beginner friendly tips to help remember cards or knowing what type of stuff to watch for in a battle or something? Thanks!
I basically stopped playing Arena because the shuffler was driving me bat-shit crazy. Opening draw 3 of a kind was common and then draw 5 straight lands off the top.

Could say the same for bo3, might be even worse there imo. 1st game they go first, they win. 2nd game they're on the draw but sideboarding mitigates some of the downside of that. they win.
Sometimes, yes. There are times when you will lose on the draw to a perfect curve and can do nothing about it. Then sometimes you win on the draw with a mulligan.

Love this deck, but don't have the cards.
It might be fun to slide in some mystic reflections to also counter expensive creature/planeswalker drops (since so many low level creatures).

I think it utilizes Vadrok's mutate ability to cast Open the Omenpaths from graveyard into more mutations which casts more Omenpaths for more mutations. Season to taste. Lose to removal. :P
I understood cycling the shark typhoon to make a big shark, that was the right play; but why discard the Saw It Coming, doesn't that guarantee a win? by discarding it you gave them a chance to draw a bunch of removal turn after turn to stagnate you; if you discarded the shark typhoon you could counter anything they had and they didn't have anything on board that could stop your angel spirit.

imma be honest, when I end up against a rogue deck, my first thought is "at least it isn't mono-red". Yeah, a lot wouldn't agree, but man I really don't like the current mono-red. You know every play they're going to make, and a lot of the time it doesn't even matter that you know. And that just sucks.
