nobody really knows what happened it was clear that there was abuse going on but no one really knows how it started and if they both hit eachother and not just one doing all the hitting bc it was said that Emma had some bruises as well maybe it was from Evans maybe it was from herself who knows? but people get way too into this. He obviously really loves her or he still wouldn't be with her and whatever happened that day before the cops came wasn't good but its their business. Hopefully they regret the hitting whether it was just Emma or both and they keep their hands to themselves now. This is why most hollywood relationships don't last is bc the media doesn't know how to stay oit of it and leave it alone and give them their privacy. To be quite honest I don't find Evan happy with her. Body language says it all. He seems detached and a bit distant. Notice how she's always quick to hug him and hold is hand leaning her body towards him. He seems to pull back a little from her when she gets close. She seems to be needy and afraid to lose him. Furthermore it doesn't help that they have been engaged for years now. No sign of marriage as of yet. Usually long engagements like that equal trouble in the relationship. Hope I'm wrong but best of luck to them.
