quantina riley LOL I know this was one of my first RUclips videos two years ago it's kind of embarrassing how bad the quality is I've thought about taking this one down and redoing the video
Oh please dont take it down Im just learning how to do some of your older things. People get to see your evolution too! I immediately went back and looked at the date and then i knew it wasnt my tablet...but i could hear your voice very clearly. Thanks....i gave it a thumbs after all this time.
Sorry Kelly me again. I am going back in time before I was a subscriber to see what did you do and could not believe my luck finding this tutorial. I am doing an Avatar garden and I need it some blue jars for it. I thought I have to do blue nailpolish to stain my glasses. Yours looks amazing. Thank you again. I think I will revisit your whole entire life with DYI but I won't comment on all as I know they are brilliant. RUclips very lucky to have you and all of us DYI's wanna be.😍
Please don't take this down. I agree with Gail Stevens. Watching you mature in your video making is like watching a new actress improve with each movie. Keep up the good work.
I have to say I loved this video but I’m sorry I had to laugh I’ve been watching you for a few months now and you have taught me a lot And you can tell by this video “you came a long way baby” I wanted to tell you to put the bottle under the lamp lol. Made my day. Hope you read this
I watched a different video on staining glass and then remembered, I follow Kelly, what does she say about this technique. And of course, I found your video. Let me tell you, I trust what you share and the techniques and ideas. So I’m a bit prejudiced… I’m going with your technique… happy crafting… love your videos. Thanks.
I absolutely love this idea. I have painted my bedroom lavender 🪻 but don't have the money to buy vases and things but I do have lots and lots of old bottle someone gave me ( around 50 I think) so now I'm going to make some for each room in my house!. I've been told I live in an Easter egg house! My kitchen is yellow, craft room orange, living room teal, hallway is some kind of green that last renters painted the rest is white. I can't wait to go to get. food colors and modge podge
This was a great step in the right direction. Now since Amber glass is all the rage this Fall season 2020, and the prices are high..just paid 39.99 for 1 tall bottle at Joanns.. I need a DIY fix. Clear bottles are all around my house and I think I am going to try a few and mix in with the expensive ones, fill with Fall stems and a few pumpkins and I will have the displays that I want this year.. Thank You..
Luis Sanchez III que onda luis? hey! Have you tried this yet? On flat glass? On a STAIND glass piece? Did it Work? Im doing some glass Work With recycle glass Without color...the color one's are to expensive...im in mexico so its really expensive...carnal let me Know if it Work for you! God Bless!!!
Oh my goodness, no one commented on this??? I'm going to do this! I have an orange, white, black and brown Harley Davidson theme and different shades of them will be fabulous!!! I don't know how I missed this one, LOL!
Hey, I am a recent subscriber and looking for ideas so I am enjoying some of your older projects. It seemed dark so I could not tell the color of the jar. Has it held up well? I am going to try it. Thanks Mary
Hi Kelly, thanks for such a great tutorial! I have a suggestion though. I'm not a professional so I don't know how to accomplish it, but you need more light. Your videos are a little too dark to really see things clearly. And we don't want to miss this goodness!
I like Your work , thank You for sharing , I want to paint glass spheres inside , to put them un they patio , would they sunlight afecta them iln any way ? ,Thanks
Wow, great video. Would this work on a flat piece of glass? I'm making something with broken glass but I want to stain it instead of painting. Thank you!
I really love this ! I will be doing this one for sure. You're absolutely amazing and so talented. Can these be washed without losing their color? Thank you again Kelly. This is stinkin cute. Love love love this!
Hi, this is Mary, When mixing the paint, can you use the same paint mix that you used with the fall jars with a touch of brown in the red, orange, and yellow? Also, to cover the inside of the jar, would it waste too much paint to put a cap on the jar, to get it to the top faster with out spilling it. Sorry, I work with small children. If I do this, it would add another step for them to do confidently.
This is great! I did try this on a project a while back, but I painted the outside of my jar, and I didn't think to put it in the oven. And it definitely didn't turn out as nice as yours. Lol Do you know how " permanently " it is set once it's been set in the oven? Just curious what other types of surfaces / projects we could use this technique on? Thank you so much for all your great videos! I really enjoy them. Always look forward to seeing what you come up with next. 😃
Ok miss Kelly I tried to do this just like you showed my jars were sticky at the tops and not very dark colored even though I had a dark mixture could you tell me what i did wrong was it maybe too much water ugh they are still pretty just not like your pretty thank you kindly for sharing your crafting on a budget loving your ideas

Kelly, I am getting into everything glass art, and this is a great tip to those who want to try their hand at creating useful art displays.

I love the idea of using this procedure to stain glass my containers
Great video. Is this staining method going to be waterproof, or do you have to add some king of clearcoat to make it waterproof.
Great idea, will definitely try this. Thanks 😊
Hi love the jars. Did you pre heat the oven first? Or put on the oven first then set the temp?
Wow, great video. Would this work on a flat piece of glass? I'm making something with broken glass but I want to stain it instead of painting. Thank you!
Can you use your oven for cooking food after baking the glass?
I really love this ! I will be doing this one for sure. You're absolutely amazing and so talented. Can these be washed without losing their color? Thank you again Kelly. This is stinkin cute. Love love love this!
I'm making these today, I have a ton of glass jars I've been saving. Tyfs
Love this but need to know is this waterproof
Suggestions. I use rinsed out yogurt cups to mix! Reuse!!

Very nice. There r some glass piece which can not be use in oven then what to do? .
And it was nice if the light was . more
Is this waterproof once baked? I want to store my sanitizer in this.

Its been a while since i made this video and my mason jars still look amazing!!!!
Can you use the jar after it is color, with hair conditioner
Can the glass be washed or wiped down on the inside after the fact?
Which colour u used acrelic or oil colour pls reply
Great project and it doesn't seem I'll have to inve$t much to make it. Loved this video & have just subscribed. Cheers❣
What do you do with them after you are done with them ?
Ok miss Kelly I tried to do this just like you showed my jars were sticky at the tops and not very dark colored even though I had a dark mixture could you tell me what i did wrong was it maybe too much water ugh they are still pretty just not like your pretty thank you kindly for sharing your crafting on a budget loving your ideas
Tip- Let the jar sit for 30 mins to an hour before baking
Can you make it come out transparent? Also, can this be used on candle holders?
My thought also
I keep getting bubbles in the paint. How do I avoid that?
So stinkin’ cute! Does it become permanent after baking it to where you can put water and live flowers in it?
Hello, no you can't put water inside of it the paint will peel off.
I had a question…is the tint permanent?
Do you have to bake these or can you just allow to air dry? Tfs💜
Good afternoon!😇 awesome DIY!
GREAT GREAT GREAT...LOVED IT...THANKS...NICE DAY...I'LL TRY THIS ONE..
Is it ok not to place the stained glass in the oven, bec i have no oven tnx
WOW!! Who knew it was so easy?
Hi Kelly
I did not get third ingredients someting like gloss ???
Please let us know so I can make this incredible easy DIY
Thank you
Water, mod podge - gloss or matte & coloring -food coloring gel or drops
Is it waterproof?
can you do it with any glass?
Pls let me know do we need to preheat oven? And temp for that and as well as for backing ... and time too. Thanks.
If you preheat the oven your glass will crack
Does it scratch off
If you can’t find brown food coloring, you can make brown by adding equal parts of red, blue and yellow.
Why do mine not come out nice like this?
LOVE LOVE LOVE THANK YOU FOR SHARING
can you paint the outside of the glass and bake the same way
That would be something worth trying so you could use them as a vase!!!
Ty again for an awesome idea. 💝
Hi Kelly. very nice.
i like your video😁
lighting is bad on this one...but good info!
Laura Pratt LOL I know this was one of my first RUclips videos two years ago it's kind of embarrassing how bad the quality is I've thought about taking this one down and redoing the video
Sorry, I didn't realize it was 2 years old. I really do like all the ideas you have and the way you present it : )
Laura Pratt you don't need to be sorry I'm embarrassed looking back at my first videos!
Looks really interesting but the lighting was so bad could not really see the finished product properly. Still might give it a try though.
nana jack hello! Yes I agree the lighting was horrible in this video! This was one of my first RUclips videos that I made years ago! The video quality has most definitely improved since💜
