Thanks so much for your video on how to stiffen burlap. I was so lost. Thanks again.
I'm going to do this today. My tattered flowers and leaves cartridges arrived today! Love this tutorial. Thank you again Kelly for your videos. Can't get enough of them!!!
Very unique method
Thank you so much! I'm gathering ideas for decorating some ordinary plant pots and stiffened burlap could well serve as a very attractive base for my decor. I hadn't thought of that til I saw your video. Wonderful! 😊😍👍👏💖
Works great! I added drops of acrylic craft paint, using brush, barely swirled colors, came out nice fall colors variegated like nature painted them herself! Will try in spring for colorful flowers! Thanx so much for the info! Also, using little Dixie cups is a good disposable way to get equal parts water/glue. I put in glue, dumped in bowl, popsicle stick scraped most (because of waxy finish, filled to same level with water , swished and dumped water a little at a time, Dixie cup clean and ready for next batch.
😍awesome!!! This helps! I was having troubles with mine and I don't have nobody who does crafts and works and be adventurous. To see this. Is awesome! Thank you! God bless! 🙌
You are my go-to for everything crafty. ThAnks Kellie 😊
Beautiful work!!! What is the machine you used to cut the flowers
I spent this evening stiffening lots and lots of burlap and making more flowers using burlap and my Tim Holtz tattered flowers and leaves die cut!!!! I love this technique so much that Im looking around my home to find more things to accent with these flowers. Lol. Thank you once again for sharing these tutorials. I love your channel.

How to buy the Tom Holts tattered flowers and leaves die cut
Thank you for the tutorial and idea but what is that cutter machine called??
That's a very good way of stiffening the burlap and a cheaper way too! BTW where can I get patterns for the flowers and what cutting machine goes with patterns?
Excellent! God bless you in Jesus name!
stunning idea !! thank you for sharing please is it water proof resistant??
We used to use glue, Argo starch, and water for fabric crafts. I’m going to try just the glue and water.
I got those 10' x 12" burlap table runners for 98 cents each!!
I bought 10 of them! Wish I'd bought more cuz now they are $5.97, I think?
Thanks for sharing all your creativity! 💜💌💔
What a great idea I have been wondered how to get my canvases stiff
Love and hugs to you and thank you for the share of your wonderful idea
I hope that you and your family had a wonderful and joyful holiday

Thank you SO much! I am trying to reproduce a burlap doll dress and this is about to save me so much frustration!
Hi Kelly, How are you? I used your technique to stiffen 5 woven squares, using twine. I’m seaming 5 panels for a basket, with a braided handle. Thanks!
An oldie, but a goodie!
Very interesting but where can I found that gadget to make the burlap flowers? Thanks
What is that machine you used to cut the burlap flowers?
Thank you very much Kelly Barlow for sharing. I'm glad to know there is a easy way to stiffen fabric.
I am so happy for your tutorial you have answered my question.
FYI for any one watching in 2018. Easy way to get equal parts water and glue. fill empty glue bottle with water as your measuring guide.
Just be sure to label the bottle!
Does it wash off?
awww you are lovely and calming.... thank you for such amazing videos..
MamaMiaChristina thank u so much... that was sweet!

Love this! Does anyone know if you would stretch burlap onto canvas, then bake it?
Thank you for sharing❤️
Can I use Mod Podge instead of glue?
What was the flower cutter you were using?

What is the name of that green cutting tool you are using and where did you purchase it at?
I want to make a burlap garden flag. What would I use to attach other burlap to the base of the flag and how do I seal the flag one everything is attached?
The flag will outside of course
Wow... Amazing dear.👍👍
I pray today was a little easier than yesterday. One second at a time. “One Day at a Time, Sweet Jesus” an old song. As always, praying for God’s Loving Hands on you and your family to help you through this time. Ruth. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
That was pretty amazing now I know how to stiffen Burlap. Thank you
Then this could be supported on perhaps a piece of wood and made into a sign?
Nice idea if you already have non stick spray, foil, etc. If you don't, it would be easier to just buy heat n bond. Overall great tutorial and I am trying the glue today instead of mod podge!
Thank You so much for this video; My tiebacks to my curtains are burlap and it needs to be stiffened!
do you have a way of cutting the flowers out if you don't have the cutter. Love your video's
Great video. What did you use to cut the flowers with?
Great tip!
I have a cold, so great day to catch up. I just bought @Walmart $2.00 a yard burlap but I'm checking for the other colors...
Does this cause it to ripple though? I want to put this glued burlap on furniture and I need it to be very tight and smooth without ripples.
Thank you for sharing! Happy Holidays!
Kelly Is this using the cricut or the Sizzix?
Thank you so much, can’t wait to try this! Do you know if this works with thin metal dies instead of Bigz Dies?
Loved this video! I'm trying my hand at burlap DIYs... did the wreath thing last year and I sold a few but I think this new endeavor might be a change for my area. Anyway, my question is, how do you do to stiffen your burlap if the craft is large? Cookie sheets aren't large enough. Do you use another method of stiffening your burlap?
What was the flower cutter you used?
That machine you used at the end, to cut out those flowers in the burlap. Please tell me what it is. Would really love to have one.
Does it have to go in the oven or can it ait dry? Love the video, thank you for sharing.
She say you can air dry but it takes more than a few hours.
Liked ur video but have a question were did you buy ur flower cuter or what store did u go too to buy one and what's the name to the cuter so I can ask for one ty u so much for sharing ur video
How do you remove the white color from the burlap. I didn't like the white residue on my flowers?
do you know how to soften it?? I have an old army bag and it needs softening??
He what was the tool you used to cut the flowers?
Love it! I'm assuming I can use this method before painting burlap? I want to make painted burlap wreaths.
Yes you totally can!!!
AWESOME IDEA THANK YOU FOR SHARING LOVE LOVE
Will this work on poly burlap?
Hi Kelly..can this process of stiffening burlap be done to stiffen other sorts of fabrics ?
What cutter are you using? Love this video.
Darla Smith did you ever find out what cutter she used?
Can you make masks the same way with the stiffened burlap like put it on a sculpture and let it harden over knight
I know this is an older video but what is that machine you used!?
Could you run this through a printer? Tfs
Thanks for sharing after doing that is the burlap sewable with a sewing machine?
+Renee Alarid you know i've never tried sewing the burlap that's a good question if you try it please let me know❣️
What is the name of that cutting machine/gadget? I need that!!
Could this process be used for napkin rings? Love your videos. Thank you
What is that machine ?
Are you able to shape the fabric into a rolling or wavely look?
I'm wondering if this would work to keep deco mesh from fraying, I know they say to use a wood burning tool but I have heard the smell is really bad.
I know you can't put the deco mesh in the oven to dry faster as I'm sure it would melt.
Thank you! Is there a link to your flower video? I love your videos!
Hi Kelly,
What did you use to cut your flowers?
Can you cut it with scissors?
I don’t have a thing like you have,
Thanks,
Francine Schmidt
If you don't have the machine, make a template and cut your flowers with sissors
Ty for the tip, I was wondering, will this work with hardening felt? If so is it safe to put in the oven to dry? Ty :)
Thanks
Is it 175 farenhit
I've been wanting to make my own burlap flowers. I'm wondering if you can do the same process on other material. Everytime I go to Dollar Tree to pick up the flowers you use on your projects they don't have any. It's frustrating because I love your crafting projects. Is there a different process to do the other flowers?
Thank you so much for idea
I was going to try a piece with modge podge which I think is basically glue. Thanks for sharing
Yes but the school glue from $tree is a lot cheaper than Modpodge.
great info here, thank you for sharing
Who else got excited at that clean cut in 2019?
Kelly can you tell me what the numbers are on your dies, so that I can order some. Thanks
I kove it and cant wait to see more.
Love this tip! I am wanting to stiffen some burlap for a garden flag. Do you think this would be a good approach or would it be too stiff?
I think it would be to stiff...
I think you are probably right. Thanks for the answer!
Will this work for ribbon?
I’m not sure but worth giving a try 🧡
Cool
I love this idea!! Tfs, Liza :))
You didn’t say if you can stitch through it?
nice! tfs. can you pls tell me if that would work for applying burlap to mason jars or would it be to stiff? also, what kind of scissors are you using? ty!
Hello... My scissors are by Fiskers, and as for the burlap thats a good question!!! Something to try?!?! I don't see why it would't work... Great idea you have!

Wow, thanks so much for solving my dilemma with burlap.
