The narrative that the warriors didn’t value Klay and paid everyone else first is crazy. I remember they signed him to fat bag after he tore his acl in the playoffs and he didn’t play for 2 years. Now when it’s his turn to be good business he wants to leave. It’s understandable but stop trying to put down the warriors front office they never did Klay wrong

THJ last season - 35% from 3, 32% after all star break. *This was our dedicated shooter.*
Klay last season - 38% from 3, 41% after all star break.
We’re paying Klay less than we were THJ.
We’ll be fine. Last year the Warriors had a lot of drama going on (yes because of him but also because of Draymond deciding to become a WWE star, Wiggins personal issues), all while barely struggling to stay afloat in the play in race. So yea, every bad Klay game stuck out like a sore thumb because they needed him every night to win.
In Dallas he will be a glorified role-player. If Klay going 0-6 instead of 3-6 or something is the reason we’re losing games night in night out then we will have much much larger issues to deal with. Like, Luka tore his ACL or Kyrie broke his spine or some shit.
One of the greatest shooters of all time being washed still puts him at a good spot up shooter on average over the course of an 82 game season. He will be getting the easiest shots of his life since the KD days playing off Luka and Kyrie.
He’ll be fine. Yall will see.

I do believe still on Klay. Without Klay warriors did not win a championship. They didn't even win during 2 years of klay's recovery. Is that the way GSW management and some fans treat a player who had been very hardworking and humblest player I've ever seen. Last year Klay was psychologically affected by his max contract that lowers a bit his average performance and the most painful is that people judge him cruelly forgetting the big contribution of warriors. They forgot how curry failed during the 2016 finals versus Cavs and even with Raptors when iguodala pass the ball to curry for the win and curry miss the shot. I love curry but let's not forget Klay how valuable he is and what he has done with the warriors to win 4 championship.

What you're saying would be a problem if Klay was getting paid like a superstar, but that's not the case. Klay is making a little over the middle level exception. If I'm the Mavs, I'm pumping smoke up Klay ass every time I get. Confidence is a key here. If he was on his previous contract, the Mavs would not even entertain having him on the roster. What he provides for how much he's being paid is fair value in my book. Role player in practice and superstar in spirit while again ill re-emphasize, getting paid like a role player.

K I dont understand the hate. I understand that klay is washed and isnt the same player as before, but why cant you appreciate his prime. All you guys r just saying crap about him even though he's a human. Let him enjoy his career, his retirement is coming, let him have fun. Stop hating!

It isn't hating. It's Klay arrogance hat he displayed and insecurities. He tried to force himself to be the same player he once was instead accepting he isn't. Nothnig wrong with that, in GS he forced everything and went away from what made him great. The GSW system was built on getting him looks but he went away from that to force hero balls instead. He chose his pride over the team he built. The foundation he laid out he forgot. Remember DRose? Why was DRose so loved and respected even after injuries? He admitted he wasnt the same player and played for the team instead of himself. Not showing any insecurities at all. Klay has 4 rings, records, accolades but felt the nedd to flash 4 fingers to show his rings? Like what?

@@Tacti_Kal Are you dumb? He took less money to play for the Mavs. He just wants to be happy and compete from the level he is currently at.
If he was "arrogant" or in denial about his current state, he'd be demanding max and a starting spot. WTF? Klay playing heroball? Dude you're dumb af.
Klay left because GS gave POOLE the bag, gave DRAYMOND the bag, and those two fools both led to their downfall while Klay was being a good soldier the entire time.
LITERALLY TOOK LESS MONEY TO GET OUT OF THERE. Literally means he put his ego aside. WTF can you not understand?

Klay had a terrible attitude and hurt his team for his own delusion ego. Plus, he spent the whole year throwing temper tantrums like a spoiled child who couldn't get the toy they wanted. I think that's why some ppl feel negatively towards Klay. Especially the caring more about your ego than your team winning part.

Mavs fans were so happy when they got Klay. They did not get they got the washed Klay "Brick" Thompson. He's not consistent anymore and bad at defence. What a defence front-3 of Luka, Kyrie and Klay gonna be. That's Mavs main problem

What non-Mavs fans like yourself don't understand is they're being ignoramuses and are talking out their ass.
Mavs fans did not and do not think they're getting prime GSW Klay.
All Klay has to be is an upgrade over THJ. Klay as is is a better defender, playmaker and shotmaker than THJ RIGHT NOW. As is.
WTF do you think kind of defense THJ, Jaden Hardy, etc. put up when they play? Not better than Klay.
Why the F do you think the Mavs picked up Naji Marshall and Grimes? You think they won't come in for Klay if Klay is playing bad defense? DUH. DUUUUUH. D U H.
