A decently constructed video.
For a freebirth.
I actually cackled when i read this 😆😆 well done.
Ahh, the Medium Laser, workhorse of the Inner Sphere. It is the epitome of standard, standard range, standard damage, standard heat generation. Mechs like the HBK-4P are able to slice through even the biggest of mechs with little problem, but require an oceans worth of heatsinks to keep its 6 primary lasers cool.
They are incredibly useful regardless of your tonnage, a dependable backup weapon under most circumstances. Just mind the heat
The medium laser is definitely one of the energy weapons of all time 😆😆😆 great tonnage filler
I don't even play Mechwarrior 5, but I'm a simple man. I see battletech I press like.
Also, structured writing is as so many things a matter of practice. In my experience it is also an additive process, I like to start with bullet points for just the structure and then flesh it out once I'm happy with the structure. That way you avoid getting bogged down in details before you need to worry about them.
Lots of practice coming up for me then 😁 i plan to make a LOT more videos
You're the only one making this kind of video and making others enjoy the game more. Keep doing whatever you want, mate.
I appreciate that 💚💚💚 i really do enjoy this game and every way to play it, so i am going to make a LOT more videos about lots of topics on the game, i hope to see you there 😁👍 cheers!
Thanks for the info.
Growing up, I had a learning disability in written expression. Part of what helped me overcome it was the realization that I can write how I talk. I find that I work best when I write without worrying about corrections and proffreading. Then I can go back and change things I don't like. Thats what works for me. There are numerous guides both written and video that can help with written expression. If that's something you want to improve, perhaps they would be worth checking out.
@The_Viscount i might start looking into more tutorials on how to structure some good videos with a narrative and such later on, that way i don't constantly try to burn myself out on trying to make better content 😁😁😁 thanks for the comment!
ah medium lasers, the 9mm pistol of the mech warrior world.
An excellent entry to a hopeful series covering most if not all the weapons in MechWarrior5
Every usable item in vanilla MW5 😁😁 if this gets enough traction i was hoping to get more videos on maybe mech reviews and possibly go over variants and which ones are trivial vs which ones are kill on sight. That last idea is courtesy of one of the other comments on another video 🫡🫡
@@Void_Emotion_Adventure heck yeah! I started back with Mech Assault 1&2 on OG Xbox and then got into MW5 and tabletop and really been on that MW5 binge again lol
I'm glad my content is sufficient so far, I'll try to keep it going as an enjoyable series! Also if there's a specific thing you would want to see feel free to let me know 😁👍
@@Void_Emotion_Adventure I'd think a good video idea would be like a "top mods for any playthrough" video and quick overview of them and what they do, my 2 absolute must have would be
"Yet Another Mechlab"
and
"Remove Jumpship Animation"
just because YAML is great as it is, and has many add-on option, and the jumpship animation eats time for no reason lol.
"TTRulez_AIMod2" is another great one as it replaces the very simple vanilla AI with smarter AI and options for different mechs including your lancemates for better performance than the default "run and gun in circles" lol
"TTRulez_AIMod2" isn't updated on the steam workshop sadly so you have to do manual install from Nexus (which could also be a simple thing you could show in the vid too)
@RichyN25 i have all those mods and 30 more 🤣🤣🤣 thats a great idea, I'll write that down for later 🫡🫡🫡🫡
Looks great, my only suggestion would be to add info about the weapon.
for example. You could compare the tiers to note the changes.
Compare the loadouts of mechs with med's as the primary weapon and note cooling times and DPS.
Alpha strikes damage vs chain fire. on various targets. (mechs tanks flyers).
Good Work!
I've had that written down for once i get the most basic info into video form. This series is a very much "trust the process" type of series, it will eventually have a video for hopefully everything you would want to know about the game to the best of my knowledge 😁😁 i hope it is gonna end up being a good series for gamers
practice makes perfect! :*
I appreciate the comment! there is a better mindset that i enjoy embracing:
There is no such thing as perfect, but practice will make improvements. If you believe you are perfect, you are doing something wrong.
Words to live by there 😁👍 cheers!
I noticed there wasnt a discord link on your newest video. Can i get one, please? Great vids!
Yeah, i think I'm pushing the discord too early, so its really only me and my admin there but i can absolutely put up a new link when i upload the next Dummies Guide video if you would really like to 😁😁😁😁
@@Void_Emotion_Adventure sounds good! Thanks
head or legs for best salvage availability.
I remember seeing another video about this somewhere that mentions how damage is calculated at the end of a mission to determine what is salvage and what isn't. From what i remember, its better to just leg the enemy. Helps save ammo too instead of trying to go for the headshot every time. 🫡🫡
@@Void_Emotion_Adventure thing is when a mech is put up for salvage its value is based on all weapons components still functioning .That is why it is normally better to get as many mechs for the salvage points rather than individual components.
@@Void_Emotion_Adventure also some mechs are easier to get headshots on compared to others. Archer looking at you same with warhammer. That is not the warhammers head at the top lol its in its chest.
I do love a good brawl to get stuff at the end 😆😆
Yep, i hate trying to dome either of those mechs. Rifleman and Jagers are great headshot practice though 😁
there is an option to create a permanent discord link
only if you pay for nitro
@@SpielkindFR not at all, in "invite people" you select to "change the invite link" and there's an option to have it never expire. I have no nitro, tested on non-boosted server, works just fine
@@user-25352 okay, I gotta check that out, because like late last year I couldn't create a permanent link
