Thank you for showing this to us. I just started a job with Honeywell WebN4 and looking forward in doing something fairly new. I worked on Distech for a while and got used to the comfort of the GFX program it offers. I have done a little of the wire sheet programming so its a little new. Thank you again
We would really like your honest input. It’s the only way we can get better. If there is something in particular you would like us to cover, please ask. We are just trying to help people learn and grow doing what we love to do.
I like giving the throttling range (proportional band) the same unit as the setpoint. Makes it more intuitive. Proportional band is equal to the setpoint error that initiates a 100% output
I need to try this out. I like the idea. One of the reasons I love automation is there are several ways to write and control logic to get the same out come.
Just a tip I use Camtasia for making my training videos. We do Physical Security and lookin to tie it all together for total building OS. Great job on your work. Anyone else looking for full security integration reach out.
Thoughts on resetting the DAT lower for dehumidification instead of an open loop control of just opening the CHW valve 100%? I like to back into the lowest DAT setpoint based on the psychrometrics of worst case space conditions.
Doing dehumidification control can be tricky and also it depends on the type of system in place. You have to look at return temps and have a unit “system” to have preheat, cooling and reheat. Also, the region has a lot to do with humidity control.
Nice video.... I have a question, I just need to link a schedule in an spyder to turn on a fan, it is easy but I cannot make it work, I would really appreciate your Help...
It depends on what kind of schedule. Boolean or Enumeration? Also you will need to adjust the tuning policies to max write one minute. We create an additional policy just for the schedules
Hi sir i have in my site spyder vav and i want ro control it by Honeywell CP-core my issue is when i scanned theBacnet mstp bus with my Honeywell cpo comfirt point i find that all spider have the same id instance however i want to change the ID device for all spyder connected in the bus pls could you propose how can do this operation
Thanks for the video. Can you guide me how do i do a dehumidification sequence?, i have a system with 17 spyders that are going to control 17 AHUs. VFD and CWV i have no problem, bu t i´m a little confuse how do i do the dehumidification. For it, we are going to use an electric heater with 3 stages (it was designed like that). We have an outside humidity sensor and a room humidity sensor. Plus Temperature sensors outside and room... that system is going to be at.. Cancun....
Do you have a sample of your logic or needing a starting point? I can show you a few different ways to write the logic. Just need to know do you have preheat, outside air dampers, reheat, is it DX or chilled water cooling and are the units going to be dedicated to specific rooms or are there VAV/FPB’s being fed. More info the better
@@Energymachanicalautomation , thanks for the answer. The AHU only have a VFD, a CWV, 3 stages electric heater, and 2 air filters. No OA Dampers, No reheat, no VAVs. The units supply direct air to operating rooms. In each room theres is going to be a sylk bus honeywell TR120-H display with temp and humidity sensor. The AHUs are going to have 2 duct temperature sensors at the AHU, and a pressure sensor 3/4 of longest segment of duct. There is going to be 2 humidity sensors at the AHUs room at the roof, one for the south AHUs and one for the north AHUs. A CHW System is going to supply the cool water (chillers and pumps are standalone, only monitoring by bacnet). The designer says that we have to use the electric heater to dehumidify the entry air.
You can stage the heat up but usually you use your chilled water coil to dehumidify. What we typically do is make sure our return temps are above 70 degrees or above dew point and open the chilled water valve to 100% and use the heat to maintain the space temp. Give me a day or so and I’ll make a sample video. Are there any humidifiers in line to maintain the humidity from getting to low?
@@Energymachanicalautomation thanks for the answer..... No, there´s no humidifiers. Considering the system is going to be at cancun, the humidity in the ambient is going to be 40+% all the time. The hvac designer says that the electric heater is to keep the humidity below setpoint... they haven´t told me, but i guess is going to be 50%.
I can make that it’s simple through kit control. Grab the numeric select and go into the property sheet and make it zero based. And depending what you need the numeric units to be can be defined there also.
With this type of controller the 4-20 would require a 500ohm resistor to convert the signal to 2-10volt signal. You would have to scale to that reading. Would you like to see how
@@Energymachanicalautomation i find a way to display the rpm, thanks for the reminder, another question, When displaying a picture, it can only be an absolute path?

I work for Siemens and have experience at a church with same setup. I’m based out of Louisiana and a lot of our systems have preheat with reheat

I’ve done dat reset based on humidity. It works but depends on the individual system and humidity requirements

How to solve the loop issue in n4
i want to ask about how to set the fan speed to 0.2 rpm?
You want the fan speed to stay at .2 rpm or ramp up at .2 in intervals
@@Energymachanicalautomation where is intervals?u mean in properties to set the value at 0.2 ramp?
@@lucyshi320 I can show how to do intervals in the PID. It’s not used much in the HVAC world and used more in the Industrial applications.
