@@sunnysodapop Oh gosh, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean that as an insult to the ship! There’s nothing wrong with crack ships anyway. The odd combo of specifically Sephiroth and Aerith was what classified it as a crack ship to me, since the most notable (only?) interaction between them is when Sephiroth umm. Well, y’know. Either way, I feel like I’ve seen that ship in a few AO3 works, if you’re looking.

There's so many similarities and potential from that! And can you imagine thr angst?! I hope Cloud and Aerith can be together in the sequel and Sephiroth can find peace if we're talking about settling.
Well, reading ur description, at this time Cloud isn't hung up on Zack yet. Lemme say it again: YET. It's Aerith that maybe is hung up still. I mean, there are some hints now of Zack reference in the game, atleast for me. Then add to it that she somehow (maybe) now knows how Zack died with flashback, then maybe she really felt Zack walking past her. But seriously, at this point, with the timeline thing being made, I see this a win-win for shippers. Clerith vs. Cloti in the Remake timeline; ZaErith and Cloti on the new timeline. And also its my opinion, but somehow Clerith shippers are rude. Rude to every shippers that's not Clerith. Not all of them but, majority of the comments seem rude to me.

From what I gathered from people talking about the lore, I thought Cloud was so deeply traumatized by Zack's death that he's partially imagining himself as /being/ Zack, so that he doesn't have to be without him. That doesn't really sounds like moving on, to me. Thank you, by the way!
