Since moving to Australia I've had to restock most of my wardrobe as I didn't bring much with from South Africa. When shopping, I stuck to only neutral colours and I'm loving it so much. The most extravagant colour that I now own is a light pastel pink. I'm really enjoying being able to easily pair items together because they're all neutrals. I did buy many base items, however. Once I found a long sleeve top that I liked I just bought multiples in neutral colours. The Phillips fabric shaver works great for pilling! I maintain my sweaters and coats while watching TV.
Fantastic video 🩷 You spoke through everything so well, it was really interesting to hear about each piece and why you decided to include it - very helpful!
I'm a bit late but for the cream and striped sweater you can get a fabric shaver (little battery powered device, inexpensive) and it takes away the fuzz /pills and makes sweaters look better
This was an excellent video.....Will have to try evaluating my wardrobe & see how I go. I agree with you, that it's better to actually 'see' the item before buying, if possible.
Hi. Not sure if you already follow Jennifer L Scott from The Daily Connoisseur, but she does the 10 item wardrobe, and she talks about how she has the 10 items, but then “core” items as well… I can’t remember exactly, but thinking it might help with the washing situation, and having enough basics to go with your items etc….

Soo good! I do have a fabric shaver that I was using on my lounge, I can't believe I didn't think that use it on clothes lol 😅
