Our neighbors were brothers that each had their own farm. One had a 520 the other a 620. Spent a lot of hours on the 520 in the field. Vince pulled a 3-16 with the 620. They shared equipment. Vince traded the 620 in on a 2510 and Bernard traded his 520 in on Vince’s 620. When Bernard quit farming I bought his Ford 9N and pulled 2-12s with it. I love the sound of the John Deere two cylinder tractors and hopefully will own one when I find some where that I can afford some acreage. Thank you for the videos.
@@RJ1999x a lot of guys pulled a semi mounted 5/16 which is what they were rated to do. Depending on the field I can pull a four bottom in 6th gear. Powerful is all relative to a person's experiences.
@@danw6014 most pulled 4 if the draft control would have actually worked 5 in lighter soil, and yes it's relative my 720 jd diesel could actually handle work better then my friends 4020 diesel power shift,
Plowing field, non issue of topsoil blowing away! Prairie harvest crop, leave stubble standing and sow new crop between last crop stands. Blow dirt rigids five feet high about ten to fifteen feet wide during "dirty thirties."
Sounds like your in heaven with those tractors plowing, can never get over how they sound and how the earth smells when plowing. Thanks.
It was a great day! Thanks for watching!
Love the sound of the 2 cylinder tractors❤
Great job good to see all of your dears runnin
Thanks 👍

Man, that’s the sound from my childhood, 2 cylinder happiness. Thanks for sharing 👍
Love John Deere 4020 & 5020
Good stuff.all of them look good.real plowing in stalks covering them up.a few more rounds to polish the moboards and open them up.Thanks
That 5020 is weighted perfect. Front end is just light enough to put all the weight on the back wheels
Cool video
Fun!!
Nice job! Gonna be using my 65 4020 power shift with the same plow setup here soon. What gear are you running in?
3rd or 4th usually. We know it could handle more bottoms but we like using this plow
Nothing like plowing in a sandbox
Nice 720 should bring out the 620 out to plow
4020 pared with a 4/16 is the perfect match. Plenty of speed with lots of power to spare.
🤦♂️
@@RJ1999x do you have a point to make?
@@danw6014 power to spare? A 4020 was never referred to as powerful

The first tractor I drove was an A John Deere.!
We also used. John deer 2030
Great video. The muffler on the 4020 looks loose?
They all great but open the 4020 up let her work
Hell open it up you gonna mess it up
Get herself a flap disk on get the rust off your plow
The 5020 doesnt need weights, it needs a draft control that actually worked
I'm a Farmall guy because the poping makes me feel
A lil bit insane lol
The 4020 must have been able to plough a little faster with the smaller plough?
Oh ya it could've for sure
