The Heritage Softail Classic is an amazing Harley product,I’ve got the 03 100 year anniversary and the bike is unlike anything else I’ve ever rode, rode her to and from Myrtle Beach fro Northern Ohio and not a hiccup out of her, looking forward towards when I get the newer one, hopefully 2023 has some surprises from Harley Davidson.Ride safe all🤘🏻🤘🏻
What a coincidence: I also just upgraded from a Vulcan S to a Harley. Decided to go with a newer platform / engine (Softail / M8) and so I ended up with 2018 Fat Bob 107. I thought that the Vulcan is the “perfect bike” until I tried a Fat Bob at the HD Demo Days and the rest is history. Congratulations on your purchase!
Thanks. I like the variety of colors across the Heritage line. I came close to getting a pearl & blue. That color combo seems to add to the classic vibe.
It’s beautiful. I have a Kawasaki eliminator. I’m thinking about getting a softail as well. All same reasons for me I didn’t wanna start out with a heavier bike.
I have nevet had a motorcycle or ridden on one but had to watch this just becsuse the machine is so beautiful to look at we dont see these much around london
I am pretty short at 5ft 8 with a 31 leg and i ride an 07 heritage softail, i found bring the bars back so my shoulders were not hunched really stopped the bike from getting upset on overbanding (tar snakes). Also tyres and pressures will affect the feel too.
Just traded in my road glide for a heritage. Had a road king before that. But with my wife pregnant with our first baby she decided she no longer will ride. Giving me the opportunity to get a smaller bike that can still go long distance if I need it to. I havent had the hertiage long but I love it so far. Never getting a giant road glide ultra again. too much bike. Great bike but just too much. I love the color of your bike. enjoy the ride!
And the fact it seems EVERYONE has a road glide or street glide these days. I rarely see a heritage or more classic looking harley anymore out riding. Back in the day you saw heritages everywhere but now the style has changed. But me I still like the old school classic look which I why I bought a 2016 heritage in teal and white 👍
Scott, hey SlowRider, I'm looking at the Heritage Softail for a "full size" bike. I, specifically like the "deluxe" model of 2018-19.in the off white color. You did a great job on the presentation/explanation of the Heritage MC, nice job and you don't talk the details and whatnot fast, so, I can pay attention and learn what you're sharing. I'd like to have gotten my hands on your Vulcan S if I'd known you were selling it. Have a great day👍😁🤓🏍️ Doug
Hey Doug! Sorry I didn't know you were looking for a Vulcan S. The sale of mine happened very quickly. Bikes in that category like the Vulcan S, Rebel, V-Star, or Scout, all seem a bit hard to find now. Good luck in your search, I hope you find something you really like!
@@slowridertv Scott, not a problem, I'm sure I'll find another Vulcan S, that blue was tugging at me saying: buy me, buy me quick before it's too late!" I'm sure when I saw that video, the bike was already sold by that time. I'm still gonna catch your videos-they improve your talent for providing excellent content Scott, keep plugging away at it!😁👍⭐⭐⭐🐻 Doug
Scott, the t-shirt you're wearing in this video is classic! Where did you get it? I definitely want to get my hands on it! The metallic copper/black color set up is very handsome on that Softail of yours. All the other features I'd want to get except the heal/toe shifter, it does nothing for me. Have a great day chief! 🏍️😇😁👍👍👍Doug
Got me one of there 2016 Heritage Classics, I compare it flying an A-10 Warthog, it like rides by itself, very stable, no matter the terrain. I love it. Can't go wrong with the Heritage.
I bought a used 2016 heritage in mint condition with only 9,500 miles on it for 11k bucks. WAY cheaper than a new 2024 at 26k bucks! But money wasn’t an issue. I like the old heritage model better than the new ones. I like the classic vintage looks. Mine is teal and white like the 1950s. Anyhow I absolute love it !! My traveling buddy rides a Vulcan S. We can’t make many miles bec he’s always so sore. My heritage is like a Cadillac. I can lean back and throw feet up on crash bars and ride all day long. Oh and the buddy bet me 50 bucks he could outrun the heritage since it’s a slow harley. I won but didn’t take his money 😂. He’s been very humble lately 😂.
Prices on the twin cam bikes have really tanked. Great for buyers. That low end torque can get the Harley moving pretty quick up to a certain speed. Mine came with an aftermarket seat which is like you said, a Cadillac ride. I’m curious does your Heritage have an aftermarket seat?
@@slowridertv No, im still on the factory seat. I find it quite good for a stock seat. I have been considering a upgrade though. The Saddleman explorer seat is the one i got my eye on. But havent quite felt the need for one yet. I took a 4 day trip to smokey mountians last weekend on it and done very well. I used my travel bag as a backreset. I could lean back and remain comfy for quite awhile. About 80 to 100 miles im ready to get off a few mins. 10 min break and im ready to roll again. But again i do have my eye on the saddleman explorer " road sofa" which has the pillow top look and a driver backrest on my radar. Ill prob take another long trip again before i decide. im wanting to ride out to colorado before summer ends. Ive never seen the rockies before. I never was one to care much about how fast a harley is. I like to cruise and relax. But yea that 103 high output will definitly get it moving pretty quick when I need it to! But i feel absolutely no need to pursue anything to make it faster or more powerful. Its got more than plenty already. ls
I’ve got the same bike and enjoyed the video. I upgraded to a mustang seat with backrest; if you’re interested I’ll sell you have the stock seat cheap. Less than 500 miles on it and not even broken in. I’m also in MD.
I have a '15 Heritage. The front crash bar is stock, and the rears are optional. You might want to upgrade the lights & horn. I used Custom Dynamics Pro Beast for the horn and their Halo Led headlamp and passing lamps. Far better to see with and be seen with. Ride safe.
Nice color! I just bought a 2011 in psychedelic purple.

Those new Fat Bobs look great. Must be a hoot to ride! Congratulations to you also. Stay safe!
Me too, just traded in my Vulcan S for a Harley Davidson Heritage
Sick color. I have it in crushed pearl and powder blue. Love it

Really enjoying all your knowledge

Thanks! All that stuff was on the bike when I got it. The seat is VERY nice.

@@douglasradowick508 Thanks Doug! The t-shirt was a "gift" from my wife. She found it on Amazon 🤣
That is a beautiful bike.
Enjoy.
Mine is a 2002 FLSTC. Black and chrome. I must say I really like the color of your scoot.

Thanks for the info! And sounds like some solid advice on the LED lights
I replaced the headlight and auxiliary lights with LED lights.. really lights up the road.
Heel and toe shifter were always my favorite thing on big Harleys. Unfortunately they no longer come with them
Optional
You can remove that Heel shifter if you like.. I did.
Nice coulor how much de bike 👍👍👍👍👍👍
I enjoyed your video and I. Know what you mean hard? Harley's are heavy.
