I was good friends with Kevin Chalfant and his wife Judy throughout the 80s, but lost touch by the 90s. They were good people and Kevin was a powerhouse singer! ❤
Always thought this was journey until a week ago. I was surprised this song only has 12,000 likes on Spotify. This was pretty big on the radio when I was a kid in Scranton PA.
@CandysMoonlight HI I'm from the future. Steve Smith of Journey was the original drummer in this band and plays on that first album. He spilt with them before the next album.
Kevin Chalfant, native of Streator, Illinois is a good friend of mine. Very talented, now has a band called "The Journey Experience". All the members currently wuth him are all from Streator as well.
I saw them! This was part of the tour for their 1991 album. This was the next best thing to Journey! I enjoyed The Storm until they broke up after their 2nd album in 1995. Meanwhile, the other Journey members formed Bad English. Unfortunately, the 1991 album was their last. And their 1992 performances were their last. The Storm opened for Bryan Adams! He was on tour for his 1991 album! After years of near misses in Vancouver, BC, Canada 🍁 I finally saw him! 😃 30 years! 🎂
I love The Storm!! They were so great! I saw them perform around this time. I wonder if this is the show I saw. Thanks for posting!! Brings back great memories of a great era in music.
Phenomenal band in their day. Their first album was the best 'Journey album' since 1980 for me. Wish I had had the chance to see them live. Thanks for posting. Graham, UK.
Why Why Why??? Didn't Kevin Chalfant's Voice & Talent bring him the Status Fame and Fortune he deserves! The Storm was a Great selection of fantastic musicians..
I’ve never seen live footage of the storm. I bought the CD when it came out and I liked the song. I always thought Kevin Chalfont sounded good, but Man I’m blown away at how good he sounds live!! Gregg Rollie Sounds good of course as always. Guitarist is decent, but he ain’t no Neal Schon.
Saw them opening up for Bryan Adams years ago at Broome Arena in Binghampton.Fantastic, I have both of their albums, great music to go along with great lyrics.Too bad they broke up
I saw them on their first tour. I forget who they opened for??? Watching this video ever since the guitarist went to check on something it looked like from that point on he wasn’t really playing. That it was a typical track???
Damn, Journey should have hired that guy....
😂 he got burned out in one tour kind of proving Steve Perry right about Neal and his band. Have to pay for all those ex wives!
Thank you Gregg Rolie for putting this band together

He still on Facebook. Reach out to him
Josh Ramos worlds most underrated Guitarist
Chalfant here sounds so much like Steve Perry in his prime.
LOVE The Storm! Too bad they only released two albums, but they're both INCREDIBLE! Rolie & Chalfant NEED to work together again!
Gregg's a powerhouse. What a cast of pros we've got here.
Never heard of this group! Awesome song!

I had a cassette tape of their first album during my hi school days so damn awesome very melodic rock they do have a journey influence no wonder😛
Had just went through a breakup when this song came out and it always killed me to listen to it. Still a great song.
For real Same here

Well, Greg Rolie is playing keys and vocals, Ross Valory on bass and Steve Smith on drums.....so pretty close
That doesn’t look like Steve Smith playing drums he has hair…
You see who the drummer is they tell you

Gregg Rolie? Ross Valory? No wonder they sounded so Journey-ish.
Great song from great times.
Steve Smith played drums on the album. Not sure when or why he left.

Josh Ramos is a bad ass
First time I heard this was 1992 on WZPL in Indianapolis. Now just rediscovering it. Never knew Greg Rollie sang on this.
Back music was good. People could play instruments, sing, and write.
Real professional musician !

Chalfant was with Journey for a short time before Steve Perry returned in 1995 and they did Trial By Fire.
real short, one concert , a roast for there manager Herbie
Great Album!
I was there. took plenty of pics
The Storm could have been much bigger and continued on. When Herbie Herbert retired they folded. I guess wasn't in the cards.
Raridade!!!

What venue was this show at? I did see them in San Jose
I am not sure where this show was.
He mentions San Jose , when he shouts out come on San Jose.
I think Kevin sounds a lot like Steve Perry if you play your music back to back with journey I think Kevin sounds a lot like Steve
THECAOR
I thought Steve Smith was in this band but that doesn’t look like him on drums ?
