Showing some of the little things I like to do when I want to make some ambient music with my guitar using relatively basic effects.
It is good to be back. I recently moved to a new city and I am finally settled to my usual rhythms.
    Pedals Used:
    Ditto X4 Looper Pedal
    Fairfield Circuitry Shallow Water
    Death by Audio Fuzz War
    Boss Tremolo
    Earthquaker Devices Ghost Echo V1
    Amp: 1975 Fender Twin Reverb
Guitar: unknown modded Stratocaster made from vintage Fender parts and a custom neck I found second hand
    Mic: AKG 214
    Audio Interface: Focusrite Scarlet 2i2
    Thanks for stopping by

I don't see a mic on the amp, how was this recorded? I am ready to start getting sounds into the computer and have no idea where to start...

There's a mic to the left of the pedalboard. A LDC of some sorts. Maybe a 414...

I would recommend picking up a Sure SM57 dynamic mic, and a Scarlet audio interface. I used an SM57 for the longest time and just recently got a condenser mic because they are better for recording my acoustic guitar. The Scarlet audio interface will connect to your computer through a USB port, and you can plug your microphone into the audio interface, allowing you to convert the audio signal to digital and into your DAW. I've been using the same audio interface for years now and I think I payed around $100 dollars for it. Hasn't done me wrong since. Hope that helps.
