I'm 57, and getting my first one done in a week! I'm very nervous! Just a small dragon on my inner forearm...because I love them, but also as a symbol of strength.
I'm 52, never gotten a tattoo, I think about it but I've never really had anything that I felt like I'd want to see every day on my body. I had a cat that was very special to me and I thought about getting her name tattooed on me but then I'm afraid that if I see it I'll get sad and miss her again when maybe I'm not in a place where I want to be emotional. Maybe one day I'll get inspired!
Found you through your shorts and I love your energy and am so inspired by what you say ❤ Fascinated to know about your tattoos! Thank you so much for sharing with everyone!!
I'm thinking all the time about getting more tattoos. I absolutely love yours, your arms looks great! I had my first one when I was 20. I was at college in London UK in the early 90's, and one drunken night in the college bar I said 'I'm getting one tomorrow'. Waking up the next day I kind of regretted that, but, I went off to Kensington Market with a friend because I was going to keep to my word. I thought I'd start with a tiny little sun on my foot because...I'm a sun sign LOL!! It was the summer and a hot day and I stupidly wore Doctor Marten boots. I queued and it got to nearly 6pm. I was the last to go in. Two big guys were in there and I put my foot on his lap for him to do my foot. While he did my tattoo, another guy came in and took the largest brick of h*sh out of a safe and just waltzed out of there with it. It was the size of a house brick! Then, when the tattoo was finished it was triple the size I planned but was also too scared to say anything LOL!! I moved my foot from his lap and there was a big sweaty foot stain left behind and he said 'ew thanks for that'. I was so embarrassed. I then had to put my boot back on and hobble home LOL!! I felt very proud of myself though - felt very rock 'n' roll - and have always loved it since. When I went home that summer, I got off the train and just said 'hi Mum I have a tattoo'. I was dreading telling my parents so I just blurted it out - but they were fine actually. Dad looked at it and said 'oh, it looks like a circular saw'. LMAO! Thanks Dad! Great memories!!
They’re all so beautiful ❤ thank you for sharing with us ❤ 43 now with no tattoos …but I’ve always wanted to gt something meaningful to me done Question for your Heidi cause im scared to even start with one!! how much physical pain where they?
Girl, you just boosted my confidence. I have 5 tats on my arms and wrists. Each one for a significant event in my life. Last year I turned 50. And had a 3 rd cancer diagnosis n had a mastectomy . 2 of my tats are for my previous diagnosis’s. ( sp). I was so on the fence about getting a 6th tat to celebrate my 3rd recovery from that bitch called cancer…. N after hearing you talk about starting your tat journey at 50 I’m so ready to get my next tattoo! I just need to find the right artist since I’m no longer in Brooklyn ( where I used to live). Thanks, you are a babe. I follow you on insta.. love your daily inspiration. 🖤🫶🖤💫
I’m 50 and didn’t get my first tattoo until I was 41. Great color in all your tattoos. Love to hear everyone’s stories behind their tattoos.
Beautiful tattoos. Temperance is also about peace, balance and tranquility. I think the tree flower might be a magnolia.
❤ Congrats on your sobriety.
I‘m 27 and I want to be you when I grow up, love u Heidi!! xxx
SAME but I'm 41
Its a magnolia tree and California poppy-hahHa

I got my first tattoo at 58 yrs! After living for 50 yrs in a toxic culture that told me "women shouldn't get tattoos," it felt liberating. 😤💪🏼💃🏻
I love that you forgot. I do that all the time!

I am sold at getting tattoos! Heidi, you are amazing! Also, no pressure at all, but can you share what you do for your skin? It's beautiful.
Love it! I hope one day I'll find the courage to do some (I'm only 20 and still scared of my parents reaction haha) 🌺
I was 20 (now 51) and scared of my parents reaction too! I just blurted it out and actually they were fine!
I love the California poppies! One of my favorite flowers in the wild. 💕
Me too!!
I love tattoos too they do express the inside so you don’t have to 🥰
Super fun and so glad you love them!
Wow, they are beautiful, and in places that hurt so badly. Strong independent woman 🌻💯

I have no tattoos. I hate needles. Yes you better like it cause it’s hard to undo.
I don't have any, but I've thought about what I'd get a lot. I have 3 solid images in my head, but I can't commit.
