- We traveled to the city of Malmö, Sweden for the day just to try some traditional Swedish meatballs!
We traveled to Sweden from the Copenhen Airport, which is just a 22 minute train ride!

when it comes to meatballs, it's really important that you have the lingonberry with every bite. It's not just a condiment, it's part of the dish and very important to balance the flavors of the dish.
Ahh, okay! That's good to know! It definitely adds so much to the overall flavor profile! We hope this is not our last meatball experience in Sweden 😅
🚫🇸🇪 Don't bother visiting Sweden, you'll just end up surrounded by a bunch of #fake people! They'll smile and act all friendly, but deep down they're probably plotting to steal your identity or something. #AvoidSweden
💰 Plus, have you seen the prices there? 💸 A cup of coffee will cost you an arm and a leg, and don't even get me started on their famous meatballs. 🍝 I'd rather save my money and eat at IKEA, at least I know what I'm getting there.
🚘 And good luck trying to navigate their streets. The road signs are like a jigsaw puzzle and the drivers are more aggressive than a Viking raiding party. 🛣️ #NoThanksSweden
🌧️ Oh, and let's not forget about the weather. It's like a constant state of winter ❄️, with a side of rain ☔. I'll take my chances with the unpredictable weather in my own country, thank you very much.
🏨 And don't even bother booking a hotel room, because the prices are outrageous and the rooms are probably smaller than a Swedish meatball. 🤏 #NotWorthIt
🎨 And let's talk about their famous art scene... 🎭 Yeah, it's basically just a bunch of abstract paintings that look like my three-year-old nephew could have done them. #Overrated
🛍️ And don't bother going shopping, unless you want to pay an arm and a leg for a basic t-shirt with a Swedish flag on it. 🙄 #Pass
🍻 But hey, if you do end up going, just remember to bring your own alcohol. 💰 The only way you'll be able to afford a drink is if you bring it with you. #BYOB
🤥 So, in summary, Sweden is full of fake people, expensive prices, confusing roads, bad weather, overpriced art, and limited alcohol. 🤷♀️ Sounds like a blast, right? #NoThanksSweden #ImStayingHome
Malmö is a real nice surprise for most who go there. Old history meet innovative new and it has a vibe that blend to that.
Close by Ystad, Lund, the whole magical region of Österlen are all gems in Sweden. This is our experience of Skåne coming back for years in a row for our summervacation, and we are from Stockholm.
It sayes it all..

Glad you enjoyed your short trip to Malmö. I'm born and raised there and I enjoy watching videos of people visiting here!
I gotta say tho, you were so close to the windmill, at 7:13 it was just to your left haha!
Oh no!!!! We knew we were close but we couldn’t find it 😂 oh well, that gives us a reason to come back again! Thanks for watching, we love getting input from a local!
@@MaxandSidney Cheers! if you ever come back, I hope you can stay longer :) but there's so much other stuff in the world to see as well.
I will say, the part of Sweden where Malmö is located (Skåne / Scania) is drastically different from the rest of the country in terms of geography and feel.
What a great use of time! So awesome that traveling between Copenhagen and Malmö is that quick and easy. Malmö looks so clean and well kept. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching! It was a really lovely city and a great way to get a taste of Sweden without breaking the bank 🤭 we will definitely have to come back and see more one day!
Have you watched the Swedish-Danish series The bridge?
"Malmö looks so clean and well kept"
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL, Lillatorg, sure (though not as much at 2 in the morning). I'm surprised to not see any rats in the footage.
Malmö is the most vile city in Scandinavia, Swedes are a minority there and there are more arabs than in Baghdad there. The Swedes there i met thought that the best thing about the city was how close it was to Copenhagen.
@@banzaaiiiii poor you
I like how the music that you selected sets a relaxed mellow vibe.
So glad you liked it! 🎶👍
Malmö in general is quite cheap, especially if you compare to Copenhagen. You found one of the most expensive restaurants in the city, glad it was good though!
That is so funny 😂 I guess that is what we get for being on the main street. We liked Malmö a lot, we will have to stay longer next time!
Do it! And don't miss the second hand stores if you like vintage. Some great deals to be had.
You where so close to the windmill... I LOVE how you filmed my beautiful city Malmö! Stunning, I love Malmö even more now! You've got a new fan. Can't wait to see your next adventure 👌👌👌
We’ve heard now several times that we were SO close to the windmill. Ahhh, heartbreaking!! The struggles of traveling without cell data 😂 we’re so excited that you enjoyed the video, we have plenty more on the way! Thanks for subscribing 😊
@@MaxandSidney the windmill will be waiting for you till the next visit 🇸🇪 :)
The building at 4:55 when ýou say "look at this wood and brick building behind me" is built 1597. So that house is older than the United States
Wow! That is truly incredible and hard for us to even comprehend 😅 what a beautifully historic city!
I've been living in Sweden for 3 years and especially in the Skåne region in Lund and I loved every moment of it. Very very underrated from a tourists perspective. I wish they can promote it more.
I lives in Helsingborg
We definitely did not have enough time (just the one afternoon) but we loved what we saw! We definitely want to come back and see more of the region!
@@MaxandSidney If you ever get more time, I could also recommend the city of Visby, on the swedish island of Gotland. If you go there in the summer it's especially lovely. Check it out! They still have a medieval wall around the "old" city. I lived there while studying 10-12 years ago. It was fantastic.
Why bother travelling to Sweden when you can just stay home and save yourself the trouble of dealing with their fake politeness and constant need for attention? 🙅♀️ Plus, let's be real, their famous meatballs are probably just made of reindeer meat and lies. 🤥 And don't even get me started on their obsession with ABBA and IKEA. 🎶 Sure, their landscapes may be picturesque and their healthcare system may be top-notch, but is it really worth putting up with their narcissistic tendencies and sex addiction? 🤔 I'd rather save my money and sanity and travel somewhere else. #NoThanksSweden #NotWorthIt #PassOnSweden 🙅♂️
I am from Malmö and I could make a couple of contradictory comments to your video but your enthusiasm is so good and your heart is in the right place so ....... I'll just say, NICE VIDEO! 😊 Oh! But I just have to mention that the connection between Denmark and Sweden isn't only a bridge. Part of it is a tunnel UNDER the sea.
Thank you for watching! Feel free to contradict, we are always learning more from our comment section 😊 it is sometimes hard to keep facts straight as we are traveling without internet access during the day 😅 that is FASCINATING that the bridge goes under the sea! I suppose it makes sense because it feels underground at first. Wow, what an incredible work of engineering!
@@MaxandSidney From Malmö the bridge begins at the shore but the other end goes to a made-made island (Peberholm) and deep down under the sea. It comes up again near Copenhagen airport.
Lovely video! Great use of time while at the airport! I'm heading to Malmö tomorrow, even more excited now!🇸🇪 Greetings from a Dutchie on holiday in Denmark! 🇳🇱🇩🇰
Thanks for watching, so glad you enjoyed it! Hope you have a fantastic time visiting Malmö and enjoy the rest of your holiday!
0:26 My hometown Landskrona and again at 3:49 so it's not Malmö, it's about 30 miles north of Malmö.
Fun fact: Skåne, the southern tip of Sweden used to be danish until 1658 when Denmark lost it, and other parts of Sweden too, to Sweden.
That is interesting! We definitely want to explore more of Sweden next time we get the chance!
Yep, they are good when you get a good version. Didn't they give you cucumbers? I didn't see those. They are lightly pickled and super good with the meatballs as they add a bit of zest. The berries do the same but all three together with the gravy can be quite nice!
It sounds like we were really missing out on the cucumbers and the potatoes! Oh well, we will have to try again next time!
@@MaxandSidney Typically it is mashed potato puree, very nice.
😒As much as I love to travel, there's one country that I will do everything in my power to avoid: Sweden. 🚫 I mean, have you seen their perfect blonde hair, blue eyes, and flawless skin? It's like they were all created in a lab and shipped out to the rest of the world. 😒 Talk about fake! And let's not forget their obsession with sex. 🍆 It's like they have a constant need for validation and attention. #Narcissists #SexAddicts. Plus, who wants to deal with the cold and dark winters? ❄️ I'll take a tropical beach any day over that. And don't even get me started on their weird food choices. 🤢 Pickled herring, fermented fish, and meatballs with lingonberry sauce? No thanks, I'll stick to pizza and tacos, thank you very much. #GrossFood #NoThanksSweden. So yeah, I'll be avoiding Sweden at all costs. #SwedenSucks #NotGoingThere. Sorry, not sorry. 😎 #SwedenSucks #NotGoingThere #AvoidingSweden
I'm from this region and it never occurs to me that tourists are fascinated by, what is to me "everyday life" vibes. Maybe I should appreciate my surroundings more.
That's a fascinating observation! Your everyday life is very different from the everyday life that we are used to! 😁
i am a swedish souschef from malmo , and i just stumbel on youre video from no were , but i have to say i love the hole video and i need to say you hit the best spot i malmo to eat the swedish meatball bullens meatballs are famous !! great job ;)
Wow, really? We honestly just stumbled into it! That explains why the prices were higher than we were expecting 😅 it was absolutely delicious!
@@MaxandSidney hahaha yeah 100 procent but like you know you are paying for quality hehe, hope you guys coming back agen 💯❤️
I would suggest you to visit the northest part of Sweden. There is enormous landscapes with beautiful lakes and mountains! Its gorgeous! And one more thing- welcome to my town, Malmö! 🙏🏽 🌺 🇸🇪
Thank you for being so welcoming! We definitely want to visit more of Sweden next time, the landscapes look absolutely stunning! We will have to make it to Stockholm and Gothenburg too!
Northern is the best but there's some nice variety along the way!
For the first few times in Sweden it doesn't make sense to go to the northern parts unless there's something very specific you are going to do like fishing or hiking some trail. Stockholm has much more to see and also has beautiful nature for daytrips from the city.
@@MaxandSidney
You are welcome!
Yes do so. If you like to look at very old buildings then both Stockholm and Gothenburg can provide that! There is a citypart in Stockholm that is called Old town. Many houses origins back to the 1700 century. 🙂 🏚️ 🌺
@@MaxandSidney Nah, you've already seen the good stuff... Malmö... the rest is... well... BUT you should spend some more time in Malmö, plenty of stuff to se, do and eat.
Welcome to Denmark and Sweden. Glad you enjoyed. only hope you could come back someday and enjoy so much more.;) Thanx for a very positive review.
Absolutely, we are so glad we visited! Our time was not long enough, but that gives us a reason to come back again! 😊
@@MaxandSidney Must say. I loved my short 5 day trip to Dublin and a short day trip to Wicklow some years ago;)
Before the Roskilde Treaty of the 26 of February 1658 Malmö was a Danish city. And the old houses in Malmö and Copenhagen are similar. And Swedish and Danish are pretty similar languages, less similar than British and American English but more similar than Spanish and Portuguese.
That restaurant was very pricy. But you hadn't time to go further than the to tourist area. In fact, if you want meatballs I would suggest going to Stockholm. The traditional food of the Malmö region is rather dishes containing fish, pork, and in the end of November: goose. In Malmö you should try the falafel. It is the best* I have ever tried and it is cheap!
*Fried as you order - they are tender and served with various sauces and vegetables.
It was definitely quite expensive, but it was definitely tasty! Next time, we will have to try something more traditional to Malmö. We have heard from several people about the falafel, now we are so curious!! Looks like we will have to come back 😊 thanks for watching!
Great video, if you come back to Sweden I recommend you going to a football game in Malmö. It will be an experience even if you don’t like sports!
Thanks for watching! We LOVE sports! We will definitely have to do that next time!
"prices are very swedish,very high".
Dude, you just came from Copenhagen. Didn't you notice he twice as high prices overthere? lol :)
Haha yes, Copenhagen was incredibly expensive 💸💸💸
You see the picture on the wall in the train (2:12) - Ribersborgs Kallbadhus. If you look closely the pennants are facing away from each other... Well, the guy who took the photo dropped the camera and the lens took a beating. So the right side of the picture became unsharp. Luckily the building is almost symmetrical so I just copied half the building an mirrored it. Then i had to change all the shadows and all the details. Well I almost made it - forgot about the pennant... So there it it. Now you know - I screwed up :)
Wow, what a crazy story!! Thanks for sharing, we never would have known! 😅
You walked around all the streets I grew up in, even went past my old primary school!
Wow, that’s incredible! We really enjoyed your hometown, such a beautiful place and so much to do! We just wish we had more time!
If you ever going back to visit Sweden, i will tell to go to GOTHENBURG in the summer! When its sunny and warm, just take a walk from the statue of Poseidon and down the avenue and just look HOW beautifull the city is!
Please don't invite americans into our city, hell nay.
We are definitely hoping to return to Sweden for MUCH longer than a day! We will add Gothenburg to the list, thanks for the tip! 😊👍
As someone living in Gothenburg, I want to ask is there summer here? All July has been rainy and 20 degrees at best.
@@uvejspreza9879 Welcome to Sweden, I don't understand that question. Yes, we have summer and this summer is pretty cool so far. Our city is located on the sea side and you in Northern Europe, that pretty much what I would say about it, its normal summer here.
@@uvejspreza9879 i lived in Gothenburg from year 2001-2008 and i loved living there, there is soooo much do to there in city and out of the city. AND as i wrote: "When its sunny and warm" its the BEST summer for being in the city then, with sooo much ppl and also much nature in the city! LOVE that city and miss living there.
Cool to see you visit Malmö. Welcome back any time! I’m curious, there are two short clips from my birth town Landskrona (yes, still Sweden). First at 00:25 and then again at 03:46. In fact, I almost spit out my coffee because the apartment where I used to live in the nineties is right in the middle of the frame! Are those stock footage or did someone else provide them to you?
Thank you for a nice video! 👍
Wow, really?? That’s amazing, what are the odds!! It’s a mix of stock and our own footage. That is really cool!
A lot of the old Malmö where actually built by Denmark, Malmö where Danish until the mid 1600s :)
1658 was the year when Carl X Gustav occupied Scania.
That is really interesting, we had no idea!
I've lived in both Malmö and Copenhagen, though I am from a small town outside of Gothenburg (where I live again now as of early 2012) and I've also been a commuter over the Öresund bridge. Copenhagen and Malmö are similar but still very different, you'll notice the similarities between the cities if comparing Malmö with other parts of Sweden, Skåne (Scania) region has a fair bit in common with Denmark compared to the rest of Sweden. As for touristing, both Malmö and Copenhagen are nice cities to visit and both are very walkable and easy to get around in, but I can say from experience that commuting within Copenhagen or to Copenhagen from Malmö is hell on earth if you like me, work in the western suburbs. I had about 20km to work when I lived in Tårnby (the train stop in Denmark after Kastrup airport) and it, I'm not joking, took me 1-1,5 hours to commute by public transit as I had to take the regional train into the central station and transfer to S-tog and then take a bus from Glostrup or Albertslund to get to work and the bus from Glostrup was a once every 30 minutes bus, there were many delays of both the regional train and S-tog (which definitely contributed to the long travel time) and when I commuted to work from Malmö it took some 2-2,5 hours each way due to all the transfers and constant delays, and going between Malmö and Copenhagen during the morning or afternoon rush hour is just absolute hell! Just don't do it unless you have to! Packed trains and it gets even worse when stopping at Kastrup, especially in the afternoon rush hour when people are going home from work and all the leisure travellers going over to Sweden from Kastrup smashes all their suitcases onto the already overfull train as well. Also, if you plan on flying in to Kastrup to visit Sweden and take the train to get around in Sweden, for the love of your butt and sanity, do NOT use Öresundståg to get to Gothenburg! Öresundståg is NOT fit for trips taking longer than 30-60 minutes or so, and the trip to Gothenburg is some 3+ hours of poor legroom, bad luggage storage and generally the comfort of a local commuter train. Go with SJ X2000 instead, it's faster and a lot more comfortable.
Wow, that’s interesting that you commuted over the Øresund! We were amazed by the engineering of the bridge. Thanks for the tips on getting to Gothenburg, that is definitely a city we want to visit next time around! There is so much of Sweden left for us to explore, we definitely want to come back!
@MaxandSidney The view was interesting the first few times, after that it was nap time on the train if being lucky enough to have a seat 🤣 I went over the bridge twice daily 5 days per week for a couple of years though so it just quickly got old haha
3:50 we are not at all completely different. Our languages are very similar, our currencies are very similar, our cultures are very similar, our flags are very similar and our people are very similar
Oooh you went to Bullen! I've been there a couple of times :) Nice place.
It was definitely pricey, but the interior was so cool!
what a happy face after the first bite. now I don't know how the so-called Swedish meatballs taste in the USA, but if you check American recipes, there are many other spices than in the original. I think they are Americanized. sometimes simple is good enough.
These tasted very different than anything we've had in the US! And I am sure there are even better ones in Sweden than the ones we had 😅 we will definitely have to stay longer next time
You're supposed to eat the meatballs together with the mashed potatoes. That combination is a very important part of the dish
We were definitely surprised we didn't get potatoes with it!
Eurovision song contest will be held in Malmö next year.
WHOOOO!!! 🎉 Maybe we can come back!
Skåne is just that... an extension of Denmark... The rest of Sweden can live without them all year long.
For anyone looking for the best Swedish Meatballs money can buy, if you're in Stockholm - Head over to "Prinsen" (The Prince) restaurant. Absolutely great, classic, swedish meatball dish.
THANK YOU!! We have not been to Stockholm yet, but when we do, we will be making our way to Prinsen! 👍
Its the combo thats the trick, meatballs and potato and lingonberry and cucumber all in one bite
Mmmm, just reading that makes me hungry!
Malmö isn't so different from Denmark. Malmö was danish until 1658. Actually Finland has been Swedish longer than Malmö. Swedish and Danish are sibling Languages. Especially the accent that they speak in Malmö (and Skåne).
Next time you visit Sweden then go norther up to Stockholm or in the winter the ice hotel or to gothenburg 😁😁 Sweden is such a beautiful country (I’m a Swede ) 😄😄
Thank you for the tips! We definitely want to visit Sweden again for MUCH longer! Stockholm and Gothenburg look like amazing cities and the landscapes in the north look so beautiful! We will definitely be back, hopefully in the next couple of years 😊
@@MaxandSidneyGo to Dalarna in summertime a great advise 👍🏼
As a swede, if you still were in Sweden, it would be fun to share with you some nice places and traditional foods of our country :)
We will definitely have to come back again. We barely had enough time to see the city center! We would also love to explore Stockholm and Gothenburg!
those prices where high even for sweden, but prices on the mains streets are always way more expensive than off the beaten path
Yes, of course, that only makes sense. We wished we had more time to explore Malmö and find the best place for meatballs. As you say, it probably would have been cheaper as well 😅
You generally don't get meatballs in restaurants cheap, unless you go to IKEA. It's home food.
It definitely wasn't cheap 😅 but we enjoyed it all the same! We were also surprised there were no potatoes.
@@MaxandSidneythat's weird, the menu says it should have come with mashed potatoes? Which is the usual, really
those meat balls didnt look geniune ,more some mashed protein of different animal parts , abd besides every food manufuacuter thats sell meatballs of thier own brand i swedemn , icea's,coop, willlys, eldorado but the eldorado ball as just a copy made cheat , like 20 years ago Elodorado meatball were something uneatble like boiled meatball and tasted that , there are lot of them and I dont anyone does the real thing
@@jarihaukilahti Boiled meatballs are frickadeller, and they're actually not bad. But yeah, if you want a proper meatball, you'll have to make it yourself.
You went to Bullens? Great choice! No kidding.
We really enjoyed it! Such a beautiful interior!
Good choice to eat it at Bullens, it's kinda of a institution at this point. The typical place where you will see real regulars that have been going there for many years.
We definitely seemed a little out of place in there, a lot of regulars! We were happy we got to go even with the high prices. Such a beautiful interior!
Yeah! The prices are a bit steep, even for Swedish standard. But at the same time, there aren't that many good "traditional" Swedish restaurants. It's kinda understandable though, since you wouldn't really go out to eat something you usually eat at home 😄
Norway also have meatballs, it’s pretty common in Scandinavia. “Swedish” meatballs are those small ones you get at Ikea, bigger meatballs is basically Scandinavian meatballs. But they might vary from place to place. There is also something called Medisterkaker, but I think those a distinct to Norway.
That’s interesting! We definitely didn’t expect the meatballs to be that large, we were expecting the smaller type. They were very tasty though! We would definitely be interested in trying Norway’s version!
@@MaxandSidney That had been fun to see 😊 Btw, medisterkaker is in the same category as meat loaf I believe, just that they are usually served with brown souse and are big meat ball sized.
Oh, that was hella expensive, a good 2-3 times as expensive as a typical lunch in Sweden. Glad you got to try some quality meatballs though.
Yes, it was more expensive than we were expecting 😅 at least they were good and the restaurant had a beautiful interior!
How can you not go to Norway when you first are in Scandinavia? Shame on you, most beatiful place on earth. I love Denmark and Sweden btw, actually live 10 min from Sweden😅 Great video
Hahaha, you are absolutely right! Norway was our biggest miss of the entire trip, we want to go so bad! Hopefully we will be able to in the next couple years. Thanks for watching the video! 😊
Nice filmed!
Thanks for watching!
Swedish and Danish are quite similar. If we speak slowly we will be able to understand each other. Reading is even easier. Together with Norwegian they are basically three dialects of the same language - continental Scandinavian (as opposed to insular Scandinavian spoken on Iceland and Fareo Islands, which most of us don't understand).
But formally they are different languages since they are spoken in three different countries.
Nej norska tänker du på
This is so interesting! Since we don't speak any of the three languages, we had no idea that they were similar! Thanks for the info, we are learning so much!
You shouldve tried the falafel in Malmö. Delicious and very cheap, around 2,5€ is the cheapest
Falafel and kebab should be reason enough for anyone to travel to Malmö!
2:50 you're God damn right 😎
😂🇸🇪👍
I am guessing the country you/they flew to is Lithuania based on the ending and the architecture?
Very close! It was Estonia 😊
Well, atleast you found some mallards instead of the windmill. Win-Win.
Haha, the positive side 😂👍
fun fact: When Sweden and Denmark are playing sports against eachother the scoreboard shows: " SWE - DEN" - The remaining letters are " DEN and MARK ".
Wow, that’s amazing!! Never would have noticed that but now I can’t unsee it!
at 3:50 you arent showing malmö... thats Helsingborg.. a city 60km north
Ahh, really? How about that! 😅
@@MaxandSidney shit happens ;)
Guys, I'm sorry to inform you that you did it wrong! Yes, Swedish meatballs are good. However, it is a well kept secret in Scandinavia that the Danish meatballs are in fact the best most tasty meatballs! You guys need to go back to Copenhagen! lol

4:10 your pronounciation of Malmö is actually in the Danish way
Oh 😂 that’s funny 😆
Swedish and Danish are actually very similar languages
We had no idea! But I suppose that makes sense 😅
Not really. For one genration - growing up in the southern part of Sweden during the 80's and 90's it's less difficult to understand because we always watched danish television. Sweden only had TWO channels for a long time, and being able to watch Danish TV gave us two more... But younger people never watched danish tv and have no chans understating danish in speech. I would say most danish people under 40 speaks english today when speaking to swedes. And the other way around, and that's a shame. But the danish language has become more and more difficult to understand even for the danish (that IS true - and danish children are the last ones in europe to learn math because of there way of using 20 as base - just like the french. So 90 is 20+20+20+20+20/2 = halvfems) - the norwegians made a very funny sketch about it.

@@martinlyhagen6166 I myself am Swedish and Danish is a closely related north germanic language to Swedish. Is it fully multitingual? Definetly not, but it is closesly related and I can understand it if they speak slowly. It'd not like finnish which is a completly different language that is in no shape or form relatable to swedish.

Some Americans like the video maker(s)s are having second thoughts about why their forefathers had left Europe to conquer the western hemisphere when east Europe itself is so pretty.
So ironic, isn't it!
😀
😊🇸🇪👍
That was a ridiculous high price for meatballs, and the fact it was served with basically mashed potatoes, and not properly boiled whole ones, hurt me at my core.
Hahaha, yes it was quite pricey. At least the interior of the restaurant was very nice!
Where were the mashed or just potatoes....when havin Swedish meatballs?
It come on side plate, check 6:37 and you will empty plate that had mashed potatoes and some cucumber salad.
😋
I wouldn't say denmark and sweden is that diffrent but maybe it is for foreigners
For you american the major culture groups is
germanic countries germany, lowlands, scandinavia and brittain
latin countries like portugal, spain, italy, france
then the eastern block goes to all the slavic countries there is a diffrence in regional culture but they are kinda similar becouse of history. while poland being strange
i wont talk about finland and hungary tho
It's is quite different - even if you are from malmö.
We were just surprised at how different Malmö and Copenhagen were as they are so close to each other!
I love the Swedish meatballs! Am Swedish!
That wood and brick building, probably older then the nation of the USA
Wow, that is absolutely fascinating to think about!
@@MaxandSidney It is old countries. 🙂
We Dane and the Swedes, without going all the way back to the Viking days, well our 2 countries have been at war with each other for over 30 years throughout history.
So when Americans get war weary, just think of us, the 30 years are just our 2 countries head 2 head, then on our own we have each been at war with god know who else for even more decades.
First mention of Denmark / Danes are in old German texts going back to around the year 950
Hmu if u ever go to sthlm and ill treat you to some home made köttbullar (meatballs) and sides how we usually eat them :)
Sounds wonderful! Definitely hoping to return to Sweden at some point!
wow that is steep. You found a really expensive place lol
Yes, we were quite surprised 😂 beautiful restaurant though!
Falafel is what you get in Malmö
Really? Wouldn't have guessed that!
Best falafel in Sweden. Ate it everyday when I was there last year. 5 times in two days when I was there for a work trip!
Iv been living in Malmö for around 40 years, its a nice city. But its full of negativity.
Interesting you say that, is it even allowed to ask why? Probably not.
@@mr.t114 Allot of crime, rapes, burning cars, explosion and so on.
Good
Its lingonberry jam, not sauce.
Ahh 👍
Finally someone who understands that Swedish and Danish is two completely different languages 😂
This seems to be a debate that we didn't realize we were walking into 😂😅
but you guys most have meatballs in the us ?
If you ever come back. Try some other balls that have became a favourite amongst Swedes past 20 years: Falafel. When I lived in Malmö Värnhem Falafel was the best.
Irak gosse Mat?heja heja 🏳️🌈
We'll definitely check out Värnhem Falafel next time! Several people have said Malmö has great falafel. We had no idea, but now so curious about it! 😅
ngl the meatballs at IKEA tastes delicious too!
Mamma Scans is better and homemade is allways the superior ones
Hahahaha, they are pretty good actually!
BUT......if you´re going to a restaurang or IKEA they got meatballs. That´s not the same as homemade meatballs!. The homemade is better.
Were are the potatoes? Were are the cucumber that has been in jar with salted/sugar water.
I am sure the homemade are much better, and there are probably places that aren't as expensive 😅
Malm-ö Malmö utalas likadant som ordet Malm som järnmalm.
Our knowledge of the Swedish language is obviously quite limited 😅
Nice video, but you messed up the pronunciation lol
Haha 😂 how is it pronounced?
@@MaxandSidney I've been learning Swedish for 3 years now and whenever I try to say it a Swede rolls up his eyes 🤣
google maps slottsmöllan to see just how close you were.
Oh my gosh, that is actually hilarious how close we were 😂
Hej
Hej! 👋🇸🇪❤️
It's another country, not an completely different one
Haha 😅
Though you pronounced Malmö in Danish not in Swedish.
How is it pronounced in Swedish?
So Swede 😂 hamburger Och Lingon😂❤❤❤❤🎉
😁
Bear cub meatballs. Just saying.
Ska du köpa kötbullar med potatismos.
Is that not generally what it comes with? It seems to make sense because of the gravy!
245 kr for meatballs and mashed potato? yikes
That’s how we felt too! 😅
@@MaxandSidney probaly centre of Malmö toursit trap? I lIve in Sweden but i would never pay htat beside inflation
@@MaxandSidney i think youguys choose one of the most expensive plases in Skåne
Taking a flight to eat meatballs makes 245 kr seem like nothing.
Well Bullen is kinda a fancy place, from 1897 and also located at Lilla Torg so they can charge more then other places.
Bro i live in sweden
Technically you traveled to Scania, and not actual Sweden, Scania was Danish before the Swedish occupation that has been for 365 years by now. To a Scanian Copenhagen and not Stockholm is our true capital.
Wow, thats interesting! We didn't realize that!
🤡
