I use a socket with a bolt as a puller for the plugs instead of a slide hammer. Works without heating for me. I thread the bolt so it has more threads so I can add a nut then a hard washer then a socket, screw that into the plug. Tighten the nut like a puller ...
Yah, I understand about the heat. I sure hope your camera is ok. I was scared that the lenses were going to melt. I'm happy that you got it out of the sun as soon as you did. I imagine that the 2 of you are okay too?
😂, no we're okay. My GoPro 10 just does not do well in the heat it shuts down all the time. It gets incredibly hot. As for myself I've had a couple of heat strokes so I'm very susceptible. But all is good and the project is really moving along. 👍
If the weather out doors is like Crematoria from Riddick chronicles than you know what I mean, when I say it's hot. I can't imagine pulling the tracks without a backhoe or forklift assistants. Your lucky 4G is not a D7 or D8 size dozer.
Tobacco and skid steer loader are real life savers for this project. I was very impressed when I worked in Antarctica and saw a mechanic pull the tracks off of a D9N in only 1 day. It was sitting all up on blocks and honestly looked hilarious.
Wow I am so glad that you guys decided to get along instead of fighting because this wasn’t a one man job and besides it was way too hot for a fight but seriously excellent intro and believe it or not I saw a video of a Link Belt 108 I think it would lift the track up about 50’ in the air and drop it to loosen it up probably not the best idea 😀🇨🇦
Wow, your editing made that look easy. (We know better). Thank you so much for your enduring work your doing! 😅
You make it worth it Tom!
Love these old tractors 👍👍
That was the best intro yet. I love it
Can always watch the work, but the comedy relief is awesome. Thank you for another great video!
Thanks!

I will definitely have to give that a try next time. Sounds like we may have been doing it the hard way. 👍
Watching you guys do that makes me think you’ve done it a time or twenty seven before.
Maybe once or twice. 😊👍

I do understand the heat myself.

That was kind of a fun day and it went relatively well. Sometimes these ideas for intros just pop into my head.
Please continue with the popping lol. Hilarious!

august 29 1997 judgment day
More like June 2024 judgment day for festus
I figured the world needed a Terminator / Gunsmoke crossover!
is that Backhoe a 420D?
Yes it is. We absolutely love that machine. Dad actually tested the prototypes for the E-Series in Peoria.
