The way you are prounoucing mauve is correct. Yes, I am also canadian, but my first language is french, and mauve is purple in french, and it is exactly how we pronounce it, so good job 😊❤

I pre-ordered For Yondu and We Love You Kevin Bacon along with eight other of their polishes from Color4Nails back in December. I was tempted to snag that red and blue magnetic but of course I didn't realize just how stunning it was until you swatched it! You always capture polishes so beautifully. I can't wait for these to finally show up! I've been eyeing Phoenix polish for well over a year now after getting a few from PPU and HHC, most every collection outright stuns me. They're just so expensive but they happened to be on sale in December so of course I had to treat myself hehe, thank you!!

The last 2 swatch videos I went to purchase the same day of the swatch but couldn’t get what I wanted even on pre- order it says “ sold out “ Bummer. Maybe I’ll try again in the future or ppu. Thanks for the high quality swatches. Really gives me a good idea of what the polishes will look like.

Ooh thanks for this. It's the only vid/photo I can find to see what Raise Your Hands looks like in 1 or two coats instead of like three. I also totally skipped over "I don't know what Christmas is" based on all the shop swatches. If you love it you'd probably like Cirque Colors Paradox. It has a deeper cool red base and I assume the same magnetic pigment - ice blue that shifts to pink. Similar enough that I'll probably skip IDKWCI
Preordered a bunch last month but have two more to get once the preorders open again. You should ask Phoenix to send you Pelvic Sorcery. Sure it's not a new release but it's very unique in its formula and truly amazing. It's a must have imo... I have 3 bottles of it lol

It's interesting the Canadians tend to use the British prounounciation of mauve instead of the French. Language is werid, BUT the polishes are beautiful.
Mauve vs. mauve is the Brenda vs. Kelly debate of this decade. Battle lines have been drawn, trenches dug. As a linguist I’m just watching from the sidelines making notes.
Here in Australia we pronounce ‘mauve’ the same way you do. The English, French, Canadian, Australian way is the correct way.
