Today I made my own DIY Conversation Heart Recipe using just 3 ingredients and one of them is JELLO! Tastes like Jello, looks like candy and so easy to customise - whats not to Love!

1 x pack of jelly/sweet gelatin
3 cups (approx) powdered sugar, sifted
1/4 cup clear soda (I used sprite)
An edible marker, or food dye / cookie icing is needed to write your message
Heart cutters (or whatever shapes you want to make!)

Do you want to know how I spend valentines day? I make a cake for my valentine, write a cute letter, and grab a bunch of movies!
Then I rip the letter apart, eat the cake, and watch the movies while I cry that I'm single :D

So I finally made these, they taste awesome!!!!!!! I made some chocolate shells to put them in. Just words from experience, don't use sugar free.

tegan, why don't you just make some basic cupcakes with buttercream icing?
That technique she used to get the air out...the one that turns the "dough" into a cone...we use that for clay too! I recognized it right away...sorry it's just super interesting to me and I was wondering if other people thought that too :)

Im sure a non toxic marker will do the trick if you cant find one

Can I use the jello when its like fondant as a fondant?
I think you could maybe use this recipe like fondant cause it dries like it, it has a similar texture and consistency, can be rolled out nice ad smooth and it probably tastes wayyy better than fondant. I'm not sure though by I think it might be worth a try:-)

If you put a damp dish cloth under the bowl it won't spin when you add the sugar
oh my god i just bought jelly powder a few minutes ago, perfect recipe thank you so much!!! ^^ Does this recipe still work if i half everything cos i don't really want to make alot, and i usually try it out first before making huge amounts. Thanks XD
