I dont think these devs rly card abt balancing around competitive play unfortunately. You should try it with 2 mew and 2 bud too. Gives u infinite set up time against the pika/blaine decks, plus having the additional mew can help the mirror.
Maybe these cards were designed way before? Maybe you're right and they don't care. It's tough to tell, but on paper it seems like they're definitely making one type a lot stronger.
Dude i knew i wasn't the only one going nuts with it. Currently mewtwo is my only non fire deck that can compete with celeby all thanks to mythical slab.
Wait kind of confused on the math part? I guess my take is more I'd rather just have the Psychic type pokemon with Slab instead of getting Sig, then having to switch it in and attack with it to draw.
@@NothingButBangersYT hold up you mean people are advocating for Sig OVER Slab??? Yeah no if that's the case my b, that makes absolutely no sense on their part lmao
Oh no not at all, they definitely at Slab believers, but they want to add Sig as well. I just think it adds an unnecessary target that Slab can hit instead of a peice of your Garde line.
But then hitting your Sig is the same as hitting a non-psych card, you still get closer to the Gard line by drawing or putting something on the bottom. As long as the Garde line is 2x on all you get closer at the same speed, but you gain a chance of drawing with Sig. Getting Mew to wall and revenge in some situations looks better to me, but maybe the marginal consistency improvement is better idk
I played against celebi with my m2 list and won 3 times consistently. 2 ralts 2 kirlia 2 gardi 1 Mew ex 1 Mewtwo ex 1 base mewtwo 1 chatot 2 pokeball 2 prof 2 mythical slab 2 X speed 1 sabrina 1 budding explorer
Yeah I kind of agree, it's hard to make Gardevoir bad lol. Maybe you could make it more streamlined to be pure psychic and cut some stuff, but this works.
I think it will be a top tier Dec, but not the best deck. It's faster which is what it need, but since starmie, pikachu, celeb, blaine are going to be even faster, it's going to struggle since they set up faster more consistently. Mewtwo will definitely be in the same tier though, but until something faster then mewtwo becomes a more viable option, it won't become the best deck imo.
Any thoughts about running jinx for celebi match up? And running it as a 6th basic to toolbox depending on opp deck since mythical slab encourages more psychic targets?
There's gotta be something that can OHKO Celebi for an efficient cost. Jynx may definitely be that answer, maybe Gio/Base Mewtwo, just going to take some testing
NBB: Do not believe the hype
Also NBB: This card single-handily BREAKS Pokemon TCG Pocket
lol hey do not blame me for the devs actions okay! I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY
Giving a stage 2 deck two new draw power cards in a single set is incomprehensible. Speaking of draw power, have you messed with Chatot at all?
@@xpler497 chatot is already bad, I wouldn't bother
Haven't played with Chatot but it's pretty cool they made it a "Copycat" in attack form
@@xpler497 if only chatot was a trainer, I was hoping for this kind of effect in the expac but using an attack on it feels bad
we might see a "Copycat" style supporter soon though. They did it in the TCG in multiple ways
Excellent episode Brad! I actually set notifications to watch your videos. Something I never do. Thanks mate
Thank you for doing that, hope they help you on your Pocket journey!

Deck thinning is absurd now
6 cards vs every other deck having 4 cards. Quite insane considering the deck size is 20

Exactly, Celebi/Serp is super strong, but wow they just had to make Mewtwo/Garde still REALLY good
I would prefer always using slab after prof and pokeball
Yeah that may be optimal long term unless you really value the shuffle for whatever reason
I 100% agree on not playing Sigilyph, just worth pointing out it doesn't affect the math on Slab at all (drawn/bottom is the same) ^^

What do u guys think, this deck dumb or good
@@Ethan-fp2ql I mean, if it works it works

Wtf I missread it at first and thought it was any pokemon type. What were they thinking printing this???
I'm wondering the same thing tbh
hey, can we use the hourglasses from A1 for A2 too?
@@chickendonkey6556 yes. Pack Hourglasses are universal. Pack points are not.
yes, only pack points are bound by expansion
Yes hourglasses are the one "universal" thing like people are mentioning!
Did you think about putting in the budding expeditioner?
Its likely to be a dead draw, 1 can work but it's too situational
If you're playing double Mew EX maybe? but I think the best idea is to try and fix the Celebi EX matchup even more.
Im running this with x speed x2, no potion, and it feels really good. The ramp up celebi is really hard to counter once it gets going tho. 😢
Yeah you just have to have an answer for Celebi immediately or snipe it/Serperior. Maybe Base Mewtwo and Gio stick around?
Welp... I know what I will play.
Yeah I'd atleast jam a few games with it, seems sick.

Yeah the meta will 100% morph and adapt, but right now sheesh...I cannot believe they made this card.

Koga still counters mewtwo
For sure
Another bangerr🔥🚀🚀
I'm ready to see that updated collection you got after this set dropped!
I feel like 1 Blue is a must for Mewtwo decks for the mirror match.
I think you may be right as the deck continues to evolve. This was just my first draft with some new cards
