    I have also discussed how to calculate the volume of Cement bag in cft and volume of Cement bag in m3
    Cement as we know is an integral part of the construction industry. We need to deal with Cement as a building material in our day to day life.
    Whenever we need to estimate the quantity of building materials for concrete work or for the estimation of cement mortar quantity for plastering work and brick work, knowing the volume of a cement bag is an important criteria as evident from my previous articles on material quantity calculation.
    By knowing the volume per cement bag, we can calculate the total number of cement bags required.
    Calculating the volume of a 50kg cement bag is not a rocket science at all. You just need to know the unit weight of cement i.e, the density of cement when it is in loose state plus the mass-volume relationship which i have used in this calculation.
    I have illustrated this with the help of an example in which i have considered a cement bag of mass 50kg.

    Thank you sir,
    One doubt for converting wet to dry volume for wall plaster here we used 1.35, How about please explain

    • @CivilTutor
      @CivilTutor  Год назад +1

      Because of the voids in dry mass..... After the addition of water the particles of dry mixture get closely packed resulting in reduction of volume.

    How the density of cement is =1440kg/m^3
    And what is 35.314

    When you round off to the nearest hundredth (1.225) do you really get 1.25?

    • @CivilTutor
      @CivilTutor  3 года назад +2

      This is rounded off as 1.25 Cft. In concrete proportioning at site . the measuring box is made as 12" x 12" x15 " and the volume is exactly 1.25 Cft.

    Why the factor is 1.35 in cement plaster as the void percentage is 20% for sand
