My brine recipe:
1/2 cup salt
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tablespoon thyme
1 tablespoon rosemary
1 tablespoon oregano
2 tablespoons ground black pepper
Fill the container with cold water, and dissolve the sugar and salt.
Brine for at least 2 hours, and up to 12 hours.
