- First day of flying with the new GPU is done and so far has been very, very enjoyable. Frame Gen works better than expected and had smooth flights all day without FPS issues or stutters. It's amazing to finally be able to fly in and out of Heathrow with the A320 on VATSIM and I'll visit more performance heavy airports the coming days which I usually avoided due to performance limitations. Sorry for the UNICOM comms during flare. All of the ATC went offline while I was approaching the field unfortunately so the usual VATSIM unicom things started to happen, which was in this case a bingo fuel alert requesting an intersection departure....

Imma keep it a buck. The unicom chatter added so much to the cockpit view. idk if it's a thing u don't enjoy in videos, but it adds a lot. Clean landing btw
It like the Unicom chatter but sometimes the actual content is garbage

Great video! for future refrence it would be highly appreciated if you could have a small fps counter in the corner of the screen :)
Well that would be incorrect information as frame generation feels and looks a lot higher than the displayed fps
@@springmediachannel oh thats interesting, i personally use the built in fps counter that comes with steam and it works pretty accurately with FG on. You should give it a go if youd like, you wont be dissapointed!
Fantastic video and I have a 3080 and wondering if i should upgrade.
Just a note, I work for BA and like on many short haul operations the pilots initiate a single engine taxi to reduce fuel burn. Just a little something to add more of the real world operations to your flights.

Thanks! Isn’t there a cool down time of 3 minutes before shutting down an engine? It was a rather short taxi from 09L to T5 so that’s why I didn’t start the time and planned a single engine taxi in. Will keep it in mind the next time! Thanks for watching

What do you use for terrain? The terrain around london is stunning and the warm color is very realistic.
LOD and TLOD set to 100. I do use REX AccuSeason which enhances the color of terrain and vegetation

Amazing. But the tyre smoke doesn’t come from the tyres on touchdown, looks like random puffs of smoke in the air 🤔

What cpu are you running with that 4070 ti? And are you overclocking by any chance? I’m currently planning a RTX 4070 ti super + R7 5800X3D build, so seeing these amazing results is really fantastic !
I’m using an ancient i7-8086K, no overclocking. The great performance is solely provided by the GPU it seems

Which flightrecorder are you using? Because mine doesn’t show the reverser and everything
It’s the freeware one from flightsim.to. You’ll need to manually rearm spoilers and pull reversers during the replay unfortunately

how much fps with frame gen?
I had 35 fps but with frame gen it feels like 50-60fps

Great Video, did you changed any Settings or graphics driver? Because i also bought an 4070ti and compared it with an i5 13600kf and i still got with enabled Frame gen about 38 fps and msfs tells me limited by mainthreat….
38 fps is very good isn’t it? The frame gen doenst actually adjust affect the fps counter. So with frame gen enabled you’ll actually get 38 x 2 fps

I have RTX 4070 Ti but I am tempted to upgrade just for vRAM
For me it made a huge difference as I’m flying in 4K
Same tbh, got the ti as well but I think you won't notice tooo much of a difference. The 4070 Ti is already a great card, might as well just grab the coming gen cards and use all that sweet super technology out of the box

Well I have no clue as I have only used the 4070 Ti Super, so I don’t know how it compares to the 4080 and how significant the difference is. At least only my system with my dated CPU it works great

No not the mod, just the in game frame gen options which comes with the 4070 GPU

@@springmediachannel I have an RTX 4070 and I upgraded from an i5 11th GEN to a 14th GEN The sim has never been this smooth and I also do editing and 3-D design so it’s very good but you can always opt for AMD x3d cpu’s and if you’re buying it just for its proclaimed performance because of the X3D cache just don’t because Microsoft flight simulator 2024 will make the increased cache almost absolute
should I get an Xbox right now, or should I would a year and get a PC with a 4070 Gigabyte GPU, an Ryzen 7 5600x Cpu. An ASUS B550M Motherboard. An Samsung 970 Evo for. And 32 GB of corsair vengeance RGB
If depends, if you want to play other games aswell you should look into that too. I’m doing all of the gaming on my PC and left my PlayStation a few years back, but I have always used a PC for flight simulator because you’ll have so much more options and addons.

Hey, which recorder tool do you use may I ask? I have FlightControlReplay but it has major issues. It speeds the time up, the flaps on one side of the Fenix A320 is always deployed and at slow speeds, it's juddering.
With the flight recorder tool it’s the same thing. You’ll need to re center the controls manually during the replay
