I'm so amazed that they are that kind! 3rd: I literally are shocked because when I learned about what Muslims do and their history in school I was very amazed on things they do As a Catholic I respect and are fine with Muslims also with other religions I'm fine with them as long as they don't judge or mock our religion... wait, so does fasting also include not drinking any liquids? Because although I understand where that idea would have come from historically and culturally (Islam's region of origin was incredibly dry, ergo the need to conserve water), that's actually kind of dangerous, if not managed correctly. I mean, don't get me wrong, one day won't kill you, but you'll be severely dehydrated, something made even worse by not eating too (sorry if I am wrong and Muslim fasting doesn't work like how I'm thinking it does, I'm just a curious secular atheist who wants to know more, and also wants people to remain safe and healthy. Sorry if my question/concern comes off as arrogant or ignorant, I just genuinely don't know as much about Islam - or most religions in general - as I'd like to).

Meh, most people can survive if they don't eat or drink for 11-20 hours. If you can't do it, you can make it up by doing other religious activities. I didn't die, did I? Fasting is only for those who can do it.
ill explain. So when fasting, you cant eat and drink for a certain amount of time. Before praying, muslims do this thing called "wudu" they start off by putting water in their mouth and spit it out. When the girl was doing that, someone pushed her and she choked on water, making it go down her throat. I hope i explained properly! (Im also a muslim)
when i was younger, i didnt know about muslim, and then i thought "wait so muslim cant drink? but thats weird bc people need water" and then i searched it up and i figured out-
If you don’t get it rinsing your mouth is a part of a speacial way Muslims clean themselves or get ready for namaz and because the girl it her she accidentally drank the water
When my friend was fasting, she still drank water. It won’t do anything to bad but it can disrespect allah. Again, I’m Christian and I don’t say grace before I eat. Lol

muslims fast on ramadan
muslims are allowed to drink and you get rewarded for drinking even!
theyre fasting and you cant eat/drink if ur fasting only at night when u have a whole table full of food
are you Muslim?? I'm Arab and I'm also glad you're wearing the hijab 🌹
I’m kinda sad Ramadan is over, but I’m a Muslim too so I can HIGHLY relate to this lol 🥲
Eh? I'm pretty sure if a girl drinks or eats before iftar it could also mean that she's on her period too, so I personally wouldn't even question it
Yh but the worst thing is pretending your fasting infront of ur brothers or dad cause then they will question u and i doubt you wanna tell them 😂

Well , mainly periods, sickness,if you’re about to faint etc. Otherwise i don’t think it’s good and have broken their fast.
From my knowledge at least seeing I’m not muslim.
Wait, is accidentally swallowing your spit considered breaking your fast?
Nope
accidentally or purposefully swallowing your spit doesnt do anything since you technically cant control it lol
Your mouth builds up saliva and I don't think you can control it, either spit it out swallow it :/
You physically have to swallow spit…
@@sourfar good! Cuz when I wake up, my throat feels dry as hell and it hurts. Since I’m fasting, a I can’t drink water. So the only way to end that pain is to swallow my spit a few times. 😭

I’m generally curious when I ask this because I don’t know but what if your fasting and then like you get in an accident and while your at the hospital they like give you fluids cus you need them of something like that, or if your diabetic and you need some sugar, would eating/drinking something then be wrong?
(Also this is a really good video!)
If you really need to eat because its emergency, its okay :)
If you have a sickness, you can't fast, then you can make it up by donations. Also, if you _have to or accidentally_ have fluids or some food, it's okay.
@@CyanGachaOfficial okie dokie, thanks for letting me know!
i’m a muslim on antibiotics, so it’s not an obligation to fast for me. We also have these qaza fasts i think- where you can fast after eid to compensate the fasts that you have missed, if you have diabetes it’s quite a risk to fast, it depends on the type of diabetes you have
Hope that helped
If it's for your life or you are on a medicine that you need to take 2 or more times a day then it's okay if you don't fast :)
This is a true story 😞✋

wait, so does fasting also include not drinking any liquids? Because although I understand where that idea would have come from historically and culturally (Islam's region of origin was incredibly dry, ergo the need to conserve water), that's actually kind of dangerous, if not managed correctly. I mean, don't get me wrong, one day won't kill you, but you'll be severely dehydrated, something made even worse by not eating too (sorry if I am wrong and Muslim fasting doesn't work like how I'm thinking it does, I'm just a curious secular atheist who wants to know more, and also wants people to remain safe and healthy. Sorry if my question/concern comes off as arrogant or ignorant, I just genuinely don't know as much about Islam - or most religions in general - as I'd like to).
you can eat and drink when the sun sets.

This is completely right but if she was on her period she doesn't have to fast and if she hasn't had her period yet she can eat and if she's sick and if she can't fast for reasons so it is alright in some circumstances I hope everyone understands and she could've drank that when we wake up to eat before fasting so this doesn't make sense

So when fasting, you cant eat and drink for a certain amount of time. Before praying, muslims do this thing called "wudu" they start off by putting water in their mouth and spit it out. When the girl was doing that, someone pushed her and she choked on water, making it go down her throat.
