Don’t leave the MRE sitting flat. Especially if the cooking element is on top of the pouch the water will rest on the bottom and not be touching. Just lean it up again a rock and make sure the water is in contact with the element. Side note, any spare ones you can throw in a plastic pop bottle with a couple inches of water, screw the cap on and they’ll blow up. Called an MRE bomb and they’re great for fucking with your friends. Your welcome LOL
.Next episode you should teach your viewers about "widow makers". Show them how to look up into the trees to make sure there's no dead trees or branches up above where they will be setting up their tent.

I find the best results filling the water just a smudge over the fill up line, also it’s important to lean the pouch up against something so it’s not completely laying flat. 👍🏼

Oh man those lakes were amazing! Honestly I probably would've thrown a zebra midge under like an ant or some sort of dry fly. That's what I've had the best success with fishing the alpine lakes here in Utah! Cheers man!!
Hey Leif, great trip and what a blessing to have nice mountain lakes within reach of where you live!! As far as your question on fishing in that upper lake: I have found that for trout, carrying a couple adjust-a-bubbles and several dry/wet fly patterns in your kit gives you a great option for top water or sub-surface. An olive colored wooly bugger behind the bubble with a 3 foot leader. Pistol Pete also makes small spinner flys that are killer for this rig. This means they can’t make a living from their videos for 30 days before the channel can re apply for monetization. Lots of big channels like flair have had to remove hundreds of videos. It’s been getting really bad. Some of the youtubers think in the next few years fishing entirely could be gone because it could be viewed as animal cruelty. And RUclips’s advertisers who pay for ads might not want to put their ads on a channel that the advertisers see as bad. This means lost money for RUclips, so RUclips sets out new guidelines at some point and completely removes anything related to hunting or catch and cooks. And maybe fishing entirely.

Served for 8 years. My favorite MRE was the Chili Mac by far! We used to mix everything into the MRE bag (except dessert items and such).. was so good! For the heater, make sure to not overfill and it needs to be placed at an angle, not flat. Oversaturation does not result in extra heating, unfortunately.
When you cook the MRE food packs: Put water in Fold the top over Shake it a little Stuff in cardboard container Lean against something at an angle Great video man. Totally invested in your channel
Love what you do !! You have been too a few places that I have.. I Love the cascade mountains !! Been here all my 56 years !! Just finished camping this weekend.. Gonna go again in about a week.. Getting cold now !! Freezing now.. But My Dogs and I can take it.. Since you can have campfires again now.!!! Went this summer without a campfire.. That was hard to do !! Only my second time I did not have a campfire.. Got asked too leave Dog Lake on White pass in the middle of August.. They closed it due too the forest fires.. Got our money back !! That was nice !! Ended up at Tower Rock campground outside of Randle.. But made most of it.. Seen Mt. St. Helens and all the destruction back in 1980 !! First time I've seen it in my life.. Did get too fish a few streams and a couple of small lakes !! Keep up with the Good Video's !!! Maybe someday we will cross pathes and get too fish together !! Your fellow outdoors man !! One thing I’d really like to understand is how you pack your fridge or cooler. How to keep your butter and veggies cold for 3 day adventures off a backpack and still keeping it light.
