I have this watch and still new day and night. I love it as it's a beautiful craftsmanship and artistic watch which didn't get the attention of many people.
Same here.. I wear a Casio to work. Even though some of my watches are only a few hundred bucks, I still like to keep them in nice working order. I don't mind wearing a $20.00 beater watch.
The Tissot PRX 40mm Quartz is the most popular watch in the world making all the competitors trying to compete with its long history of being the best Swiss watch in the world since 1853 with a sapphire crystal dial and the most comfortable Butterfly bracelet.
@mckeeplays2922 Haven't owned a PRX, but if you catch a Seiko gmt on sale it's probably the best bang for the buck. It's a great looking timepiece and it keeps time very well.
I was in the same predicament 4 days ago for my birthday I was tossing up between this or tissot super sport. I ended up with the supersport because I’m quite a big bloke with large arms so the seiko at 42.5mm just looked to small on my wrist, sad though as if it had of been the same size as the supersport I’m picking the GMT. As far as movement Swiss is always what you should choose if that’s the ultimatum
@bobberg4745 I felt the same way. That's why I ended up with all 3 colorways, but to answer questions.. While the black dial is nice, the blue has a sunburst dial, which really pops! It is one of my favorites.
@rajbiswas9068 Blue sunburst for sure! It looks like it changes from different shades of blue to black and has a sunburst effect in the light. The orange is nice too, but doesn't have the same effect as the blue dial.
This particular one has a sunburst blue dial. The bezel is half blue and half black(Style# SSK003). Seiko does offer one with a black dial and half black and half grey bezel(Style#SSK001). I have a short on that one as well.
This is the factory bracelet that comes with the Seiko 5 gmt's. My other two gmt's have the exact same bracelet. Now, if you're looking to upgrade your standard Seiko sport 5, you can just buy the Seiko Jubilee bracelet or get one similar from strapcode.com
6.5" wrist. I have worn a time piece on my right wrist for 30+ years as I am left handed. Watches are typically worn on your non dominant hand so it doesn't interfere with daily tasks. If my timepiece does need adjustment I do it before putting it on. Not a big deal.
@@mick76 my wrist is the same. Do you think it will be ok for me? I have a doubt that the face is a bit too big (takes all of the wrist, when i like to have a little bit of free wrist space exposed at the sides). Or maybe it only looks that way in a video. I own 42mm orient kamasu and it is ok on my wrist, wondeeing how much more bigger this seiko would look in it
@M I have a Kamasu aswell.(see my other short) The Seiko is not noticeably larger then the Orient. I love the jubilee bracelet on the Seiko. Very comfortable to wear. I have a few 44-44.5mm timepieces but my go to is anything from 39-43mm. I think you will like the fit of the Seiko.
@subhokarbose It's 42.5mm, you would have to have an awfully wide wrist to make this time piece look small. Many of the high-end watches are anywhere between 39mm-42mm.
The Jubilee bracelet is not for everyone but out all the other watch bands I currently possess it is by far the most comfortable for all-day wear. Plus, it is an easy to upgrade or downgrade depending on your taste.
@@mick76they make a decent watch for under $100 - I’m not into homages/lookalikes, so I typically go for other watches, but I do have 1 Steeldive and it’s pretty decent
Yeah, I suppose. I don't give it much thought when it comes to the hardlex crystal. I have a few watches with hardlex and have yet to Scratch or Crack one, but in the event that I do, Crystals Times offers a domed sapphire for SSK's.
The bracelet is actually pretty decent, especially compared to the non gmt Seiko 5. It is a Jubilee. So it is comfortable. It has solid end links and a push-button clasp. Sure, there might be better options for an aftermarket bracelet, but that is at an extra cost. Seiko keeps them affordable. Money is the time piece, not so much, the bracelet, but I think it is more than acceptable, especially at the price point.
Yes, my left is my dominant hand. Watches are typically worn on your non dominant hand/wrist. As to not interfere with every day, tasks. I am willing to bet you're right-handed and wear a watch on the left.
If you can get the GMT on sale(I paid 360.00). Then I say go for the GMT. The Kamasu is nice and I plan to get another one when Orient releases a new version but it needs a better bracelet.
So I got both they were on sale. The GMT has better on wrist and lume is great. The big con is mine is a +35 seconds a day! Kamasu got it for summer for the water. Love thr dial it’s a teal green color. Comes with screw down crown 200 water inside and a sapphire crystal. Also running at a +9 seconds a day.
