very cool - "Mind Children" slowly coming true :) Would be cool if viewers could see the video stream on headsets or 2d, and even superimpose their own hands in the view of the operator - say for training or communication, like pointing to something in the environment, or like "match your robot (or actual) arms up with mine for this move" or a "posession" mode wherein the trainer is also using controllers to guide the bot - with force feedback to the trainee (much more expensive setup)
It would be awesome if Pollen ran demos weekly - where multiple VR users can take turns controlling Reachy to paint or draw, then have the creations posted on your site, like a kindergarten class. 😸 If this happens, please sign me up - my Index is ready. 👍
I think this would be wonderful for something like an animatronic for some show! Imagine recording your movements and dressing it how you'd like it do afterwards! Also a good home partner to make you food, like was shown in video! Imagine making yourself lunch without leaving your own room, wouldn't that be crazy and hell of fun? lol
excellent work! How does you realize the cartesiace space retarget, and when arms put down,is it a singularity pose for inverse kinematics ,so do you have some details to show ,thanks
Evolution of human avatars is the best solution for threats of severe pandemics. They should be able at least to do (almost) everything that human body can do though.
This is one of the coolest things I’ve seen done with VR

we can do that :) please join our forum to discuss how we could setup it. forum.pollen-robotics.com/
@@PollenRobotics Done. There are so many potential applications for this tech, this is really exciting.

This is so awesome, I did something similar but with a smaller robot, this is really amazing!! Reachy rocks!!! 😍

Imagine if they did a collab with Boston Dynamics
haha love the example of a 'complex task', have to face it every evening myself.
But jokes aside, this shows a lot of potential
yep that's indeed relative to our current age of clumsy robots ^^ But hopefully it will change quickly!

Thast amazing!! I love the Pollen Robotics:)
the background music reminds me of trailer park boys : )
Where can we find the 3d model files of this project?
This is the coolest shit wth
Great for Chess!
