Thank you so much for this! i usually play your videos in the back ground a few times before I sit down and begin the tutorial....for some reason to my ear at one point it sounded a bit Led Zepplend-ee... I think their song, the intro to "Woman"? ...You're the the best!
@@thecigarboxguitarguy782 You're welcome. I started electric guitar back in the 70s in high school, but never had formal training, just a friend that could play. My wife is a drummer, and we just set up a music room in the house. So, I have an electric guitar, two CBG's, and a keyboard. I want to be able to jam with her, as we have not played together yet. She has that experience, but I don't, so I want to pick up what I can get started with, then keep working on it.
bravo, excellente leçon. Je viens d'acheter une cigare box guitare et comme tout le monde j'adore ce morceau ... et en plus je vais travailler mon anglais
@@thecigarboxguitarguy782 Hi good to hear from you LPG= License Plate guitar, I also built a couple of cookie tins, but I like the LPG's much better, being an old car guy!
Grandad Alan You can definitely ask but I’m not really sure 😁 I just tend to to listen to the tune and play along.. I think they are mainly down strokes though. Thanks for the positive feedback, it’s appreciated 👍
Hey CBG friend, I'm a Disabled Vietnam Vet lost my leg and only 2 fingers i can use on my left hand. Thru the years it has gotten worse. Just asking if there are any songs you know I could get away with using 1 finger by Barre Chord for this song or any others would really Appreciate it. I hit SUBSCRIBE enjoy your explaining. Have a good day.
Hi Roland. Thanks for serving your country and sorry to hear about your injuries. It shows you have great character and resilience to push on and make the most of your situation. With Hey Joe , the E chord (where I use 3 fingers) can be played on the 9th fret as a bar chord instead. Also for the intro I play E then G and F#: Bar the E on the 9th fret then bar the 12th and 11th frets for the G and F# . There are plenty of songs you can play with one finger. Del Puckett has a great lesson using one finger and Glen Watt also does a number of songs, Uncle Mark does wagon wheel etc. If there is a particular song you want to learn, let me know and I’ll give a go for you 👍🙏
Hi Justin, thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately I’m not gifted in the area of building. I bought it online from Salty Dog cigar box guitars in Victoria, Australia. I’m very happy with it 👍

I had a look at your Facebook site (I used my daughters phone, I can’t be bothered with it) and the guitars look and sound great! I couldn’t see any for sale or prices, though to be fair I’m not real savvy with it 😜
@@thecigarboxguitarguy782 yeah my wife and daughter hooked up my Facebook just to sell the guitars. If you see any guitars you like let me know. Maybe we could help each other out. I would love to chat to you about it. If you like, get your daughter to message me on Facebook and I can give you my phone number. 👍👍
Wow! You made it accessible for the rest of us! Subscribed!
Thanks OldSilkRoad! Glad you found and enjoyed it 👍
I've been playing Uncle Mark's version for a couple of years now. I will be adding in your variations and it'll sound really cool. Thanks.

@marcd1981 That would be cool. If there’s a song you know on the 6 string that you’d like to play on the CBG I’ll see if I can do a lesson on it 👍

Are the strings tuned to cbg or gdg new to this.
GDg. I write it in the text at the start of the lesson to try and keep my talking to a minimum 👍
Great lesson. Thanks 👍👍👍
