I really love this channel so much and appreciate the time and effort your team puts into filming. The looks on this channel are so creative and unique! It's really frustrating not to be able to understand what is being said in the video's however. The auto translate algorithm on RUclips is helpful to a point, but what is auto translated often makes no sense in English. I know all your English speaking viewers would be so grateful for subtitles so they can enjoy your content. I am worried that if those subtitles completely go away you will lose so many viewers because they are being excluded. I understand that this is primarily Japanese channel and I do not want to seem as though I am entitled and demand to be catered to, I just really want to be able to continue to support your channel through viewership. In order to do that I really need to be able to understand what is said, despite the filming and aesthetic being absolutely beautiful.

Thank you. We just are lacking any budget or volunteers who would willing to translate. We are trying our best but haven't been able to catch up.Someone has added one for this one so it's there now

I love the background music they used for this. Does anyone know where they sourced those instrumental tracks from?

hi i have a question what do you do in lolita if you havent got a fringe

    • @fourandtwentyblackbirds3316

I wear EGL and I look bad with a straight fringe. If you want to have some hair near your face, maybe try side swept bangs or face framing layers.

Good style is hair bun on top back of your head like Audrey Hepburn wear it in Breakfast at Tiffany's movie (she use fake bun mesh inside but you can use also only natural hair without any inside stuffing, depends more on how festive you have outfit - if meetup level or everyday look, the Audrey stuffed bun is great for wearing crowns and tiaras) or 1 big braid - either on back or on 1 side. If you do side braid start directly behind 1 ear and braid down, keep about 5-10cm free hair at the end it will look better.
For another bun you can also use hairsticks but they take some using to wear - you twist your hair completely 1 direction until all hair is twisted into spiral that goes around the starting point sort of up and then back down around the base, then you take hairstick and basically "sew" like if you were doing simple stitch - up above twisted hair strand, down bellow hair strand, through, above, bellow, in any way that helps you to secure all the layers of your twist knot. Some people use 2 hairsticks if they have heavy or longer hair.
Very easy style is just putting elegant clasp on the place where you would normally put your hairband when doing ponytail. If you have lots of hair you need clasp with lots of space on the bottom or the metal spring won't hold your hair and will keep opening. Rectangle or oval shape clasp works for any style. I personally have 1 gold metal, 1 silver metal and 1 pearl looking clasp, so 1 of those 3 will allways fit any outfit I make. This hairstyle is very comfortable but if you do lots of activities or need to take coat off and on during day a lot it can get messed up so I always keep travel sized mini brush with mini mirror in my handbag for quick fix. Very nice for aristocrat outfits, both EGL and EGA. If you are doing more classic or gothic look you can also get clasp with mesh net like for ballet dance classes and put the rest of ponytail inside the net, this is also good option if your hair will need washing but you did not have time yesterday. You can find clasps with medium bow sometimes, with or without net and the net is sometimes decorated with beads or pearls. For everyday use simple black mesh and dark jewel stone color grosgrain bow match pretty much anything and looks good and I can also wear this style with suit jacket to look all professional and neat.
It looks nice if you put ribbon inside when braiding, that way you can always match your outfit easily:
You need 1 ribbon of double length of your hair from the start point where you are going to start the braid to the hair-ends (say you have 20 cm hair to braid so you need 40 cm ribbon), you braid the 1st crossing at the start and now put the ribbon through so on both sides you have half of the ribbon (20 cm left, 20 cm right), take the ribbon end1 to left strand and ribbon end2 to right strand then continue to braid like normal.
When you finish, take end1 and loop 2x around braid and then create half-knot just using that end1, then take end2 and loop 2x around braid IN THE OPPOSITE WAY and create half-knot just using that end2, now you have secure and cool medieval hairstyle that works with any kind of old or modern outfit as is great for lolita. :) This look is all-styles match and you can also put small bow on crocodile pin to the bottom or flower or bigger bow on crocodile pin to the top to match various lolita styles even better.
If you do not get headaches, you can also use 1 big hairclip with teeth to put your hair up on the back of your head - brush your hair as if doing ponytail at the bottom of your head, twist completely from start to end, put the now twisted hair (looks bit kf like real rope now) up vertically (hair ends are now at the top of your head) and carefully put the hairclip on, make sure ALL teeth are attached to the horizontal hair on your head and that you did not create any "bald spots". Now take the rest hair on top and carefully un-twist and let fall back over the hairclip. This style is good with more mature looks and easy to do anywhere when travelling.
All kinds of buns and updos look good both neat or with 1 longer elegant strand of side hair or 2 shorter strands of side hair to frame face for extra romantic or cute look. Side strands look best if slightly curled if you do want all your hair the same lenght or if you are ok with cutting if they are only about as long as where your jaw joint is under your ear - easy way to cut is make your hair slightly wet with water spray and then take 1 front strand from each side of face and loosely put to spot in the middle of your chin and cut directly under your chin - when dry again the hair will be the right lenght - if you have very curly hair do not force the strands too flat or they will be too short to put behind ear later! Alternatively put 1 dry strand behind your ear and carefully (so you do not accidentaly cut any other hair) cut 1-2 cm under ear, this way you will not be bothered by too short strands blocking your vision if you work at the desk writing a lot - when working you can put them behind your ears safely for the time being.
Source: being classic/gothic lolita with waist long hair since 2008 :)
