The official ones begins from a hand-made prototypes like that. A workshops like this artist's offers their works to figurines factories. Based on such prototypes factories will develop molds for serial figures production.

Watching this, I felt terrified of how artists can be. As in it's so amazing how much detail can be paid attention to, drawing Nilou is one thing, replicating the art into a 3D model is another thing. The size of everything has to be scaled correctly to make everything look proportionate. 😭😭😭😭

I opened the video without much hope because its a new character and it might just be a rushed mess but when i saw the detail you started putting in the shoes i instantly knew this wasnt some rushed mess, this is some serious skill
awesome work man, minimum details well done. few things was not perfect but at this point it does not matter so much... example was the feet, her toes are a bit longer, and her as.s is a bit bigger too, and the facial physiognomy ended like katheryne instead nilou, but the face i know is very hard, very very hard to design is perfectly, i already made many sculptures and modeling with many materials, is a real challenge to hit the point, mainly a detail that we have to look very close in the original character but maaaan, that clothes details wash everything, also the method used gave an amazing result, a hard work for sure, i do not know how many hours you had to work over it, but worth it
It's amazing to be able to be so detailed with such a small sculpture. You should consider 3D sculpting with something like Zbrush. It's a said to be a lot like sculpting with clay and that people who are good at working with clay are also good at 3D sculpting,
We only saw like 17 minutes of this, with 2-3 second jumpcuts (and long jumps too). I don't even want to know how long this took, but in a way I do. This is insane.

模様とか装飾品も全部立体で、パーツ単位でちゃんと成立する形で作るのやばすぎ、、、！！！ソフトウェアの中のモデリングですら大変なことをこのサイズで、粘土でやるのか、、、
でもそうしないとできない踊りのスピード感と、質感すら出てる。エフェクトを立体化して周りにつけることで動きを表現する手法とか使わずに、どういう動作の中のこのコマなんだろうな、っていうとこまで想像できる。造形力が高すぎる。
