If we limit our imagination, then it will hurt creativity. Because if games are to be based on real world, and real stories...then people's beliefs and faiths will be shown in the game. Almost all the monuments are built for one religion or the other. If we don't show gods in games, then we can't show real life characters who worship certain gods, can't show real life locations inspired by a religion, can't show great epic stories of the gods. There have been many movies made around gods, and when a normal human can play the role of a god in a movie. Then why can't games feature god's?
