  • Brett Favre and the high-flying Packers are in Dallas to face a Cowboys squad still reeling from an upset loss to Washington seven days earlier. Will a gimpy Troy Aikman save the Cowboys' season from spiraling out of control, or will Favre and Co. finally get the Dallas monkey off their backs?
Pat Summerall and John Madden call the game for FOX from Texas Stadium. Enjoy!

It's crazy how much success the Cowboys still had in '95, yet, Troy Aikman had a pretty tough '95. Getting sacked a lot, because even though the Cowboys still had a good defense, the defense wasn't like it was even a year before when they won the Superbowl in '94. Aikman was repeatedly and openly criticizing his head coach Barry Switzer. Barry definitely WASN'T JIMMY JOHNSON. Aikman also had to do the coaching that Barry wasn't doing as well. Not a fun year for Troy Aikman in '95. Some of it is really tough to watch.

That's why its my favorite Cowboy Superbowl Championship. My favorite Championships for dynasties are those they really had no business winning. Whether its the 95 Cowboys or the 93 Bulls or the 98 Bulls.

The 49ers won the SB the 94 season. But like you said the cowboys defense was better in 94 then it was in 95

They should’ve given Troy Aikman two Super Bowl rings for the 1995 season: one for being the starting quarterback, and the other for being the true head coach. Barry Switzer was nothing more than a passenger

@@johnselwitz5362 what's funny is switzer was aikman's coach in Oklahoma before he transferred to UCLA. And he transferred because he broke his leg & lost his mobility & to run that wishbone offense in Oklahoma you need a scrambling qb & the team he was playing was the Miami hurricanes with HC Jimmy Johnson when DT Jerome Brown broke his leg

Notice the lack of flags.... Not like today where you can't go 4 plays without a flag.
