Perfect data for guesstimates and customer centric approach. One problem I face while driving out pain points is during the brainstorming the ideas fade away. Any approach you would recommend?
Good interview. Guestimate should have also focussed on business users which is tricky to calculate. Some points on strategy on the fly are good. We should also focus on product differentiation. Whatsapp is primarily messaging/communication platform and introducing content may not work. I'm not sure how many are adpting the channels (content from celebrities) option currently. There might be a reason why whatsapp did not introduce content. (It can even cannibalise insta). My strategy from pain points I faced for GenZ 1. Screenshot video feature (instead of taking multiple screenshots and then cleaning phone) 2. Chat assistant that reminds me of things which I want it to do on daily/weekly/monthly basis. (Drink water, stand up etc). We can give multiple options for users on what they want to focus on. 3. Can introduce some LLM. We often go to google to check during conversations.
There are applications like parallel apps that allow mobile users to have more than one whatsapp account on a single device due to which the whole analysis based on no. of phones can be said to have error in it.

integrating splitwise didnt appeal a lot as whatsapp would never share the data outside its eco-system . However acquiring splitwise and then using its APIs makes more sense in that context.

Good interview. Guestimate should have also focussed on business users which is tricky to calculate. Some points on strategy on the fly are good.
We should also focus on product differentiation. Whatsapp is primarily messaging/communication platform and introducing content may not work. My strategy from pain points I faced for GenZ

Why we have to do this much math on finding the number of phone users when we can just extract the data online
