I’ve lived long enough to have heard some of these, but it’s a real treat to read all of these commentaries on aging. Nothing like a good chuckle. Better to see the humor in aging than to regret the loss of youth. When i think about it, there’s often very little about being young that is lighthearted and funny. I’ve yet to hear or read a really funny satire on being young. But then, maybe I’ve waited too long to change my glasses and get my hearing aids. Do you suppose?
You're absolutely right-there’s a certain charm and wisdom in seeing the humor in aging. It’s wonderful that these quotes brought you a chuckle! As for satire on youth, perhaps the humor comes later, with hindsight and a touch of perspective. And don’t worry, those glasses and hearing aids might just add even more clarity to life’s humor! 😊 We’re glad you enjoyed the video!
I remember lots of "programs" to help adolescents prepare for "the change" that's happening to them. Nothing like that for seniors. Too bad. This has been the roughest journey of my life. Adolescence gives you almost super powers! You get strong, can have babies and so many more things you can do. Walking into old age, completely unprepared, is a journey of loss. Your body fails you time and again and there's no healing to happen. People really need programs to prepare us ,not just retirement info.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. It’s true that aging can come with unexpected challenges and losses, and it’s important to talk about these experiences openly. While we may not have the same resources as during adolescence, creating awareness around aging and providing support is crucial.

I went in to buy a new car. "Why do you want a manual?" "I've always had manuals, I need the exercise, and there's less chance that anyone out to steal a car will know how to drive it.." "Why red?" "You can sell a young man's car to an old man, but you'll never sell an old man's car to a young man." I took a friend to Golden Corral the day after delivery, happened to be Easter, and of about two hundred cars there, mine was the only red one among the whites and shades of grey.
