I think it's fine for what it is, when u pay attention to it it's looks corny but during gameplay ur not as critical when it comes to watch someone act.
This happened me time ago, i was trying to beat wolf's murcielago on canyon with a WRX, it was extremely difficult at point that i reseted the race like 7 times, speeding on a curve i hit the murcielago's rear and that made wolf lose control, i remember exactly that when he fell of the canyon his expression was like a smile and after that happened my pc crashed for any reason
