Can a person be an apostolic evangelist? I have heard that from some pastors. What does that mean? Is that real?
Certainly, in 2 Tim. 1:11 Paul refers to himself as both an Apostle and a Teacher (2 of the 5-Fold). A person can operate in more than one Ministry as we see with Paul, Peter, and Barnabus but typically has a stronger calling in 1 of the 5-Fold. As apostolic teams (made up of all 5 Ministry workers) continue to sharpen one another, they will begin to grow each other into the fullness of Christ. Thereby, a person can begin to develop other 5-Fold strengths and operate in manifestations of the other gifts for the common good. Of course, Jesus was the only person who perfectly embodied all 5 at once.
