    This is probably the best and easiest to follow start to finish video for removing the dash of the 2007 - 14 Escalade. I just ordered my replacement dash and I'm glad I found your video. Very thorough, very concise and straightforward without all the flub that is often in some other fix/replace DIY videos. Cool background music. Out with the old cracked one and in with the new one. I'll need to get one of those plastic pry tools. This video definitely gets a thumb up!

I didn't know if I would have to remove the pillar covers first and I sure didn't want to replace that defrost cover and crack it while I put it in. :-) I just bought a 2007 EXT and it needs some interior work. This is just part of what I'm going to replace.

      You’re welcome! The A Pillar trim slots into the upper dash trim, so they must come out first. This video was on my 2012 Escalade EXT. They are great trucks! Enjoy yours!

    • @TomM60
      @TomM60 4 года назад

      @@WorkingWithWimberley Yes, these are great trucks. Two of my sons have them. The one I bought has an excellent body on it but who ever the mechanic was that worked on it previously wasn't much of a mechanic. The wire harness looked like a two legged rat got into it and left the wires without any protection on them. I ended up having to replace the engine as well thanks to someone not knowing even how to put it back together again. The dowel pins between the engine and transmission were missing, three bolts around the bell housing were missing, several bolts holding brackets to things on the engine was missing and it was plainly evident that the heads were also off before. I had three bent push rods in the motor and that's why I replaced the whole thing. I'm still not sorry I bought this truck because the body is mint even with over a 180,000 miles on it. It's well worth having it repaired right. The next thing I want to find for it is a newer ten speed transmission. The mechanic that I have working on this truck says they are top of the line. When I'm done with this truck I'll show it off. :-) Do you still have your EXT?

    Thanks for posting this, very helpful! The panel on my wife's 2013 has now cracked in 3 places. We had a rock hit the window just outside of Philly on our way back to NC today. Do you think I will need to still remove the A pillars if I have the windshield out? I thought when they replace the windshield, it would be a great time to replace the panel, that it may just slip in since you would have access to it from the front. Do the clips from the pillars have to come out to release the panel? Thanks for your thoughts if you happen to see this!
