I am not sure which version of Outlook you're speaking of in this video. Office 365 has all if not more features then Google. Many of the things you're saying that cannot be done in Outlook actually can be done. Please update your knowledge so that you can give accurate information.
My biggest grief with my google business email is that my emails go to my client's spam/junk folders. If I don't tell my clients in advance to check their spam folder they miss it. Is there any way around this?
Hey Lorraine, this will be due to your own domain security and setup rather than Gmail itself. You should make sure whoever setup you google business email account has but in place things like SPF, DKIM, DMARC etc. these all increase the security on your domain and reduce the likelihood of your emails going into spam. On a quick search I don’t see these in place for your domain lorrainepinondesign.com toolbox.googleapps.com/apps/checkmx/check?domain=lorrainepinondesign.com&dkim_selector= Also if your domain has been used for sending out large amounts of email on mass that can cause your domain to get flagged for spam. - Fintan
Lorraine, I know it's been a year since you posted your comment and you may know this now from others, but your clients can add your email as a contact in their email. This would prevent your emails going into their spam folder, so you don't have to keep reminding them 😊
I enjoy your videos and have learned a lot. However, in general, are you saying don’t use mobile apps?? This seems unrealistic for real life. Please explain more, thanks!
I'm a huge fan of 'smart compose' too. Thanks to it I'm capable of writing a fairly decent email in Spanish, a language I haven't quite mastered yet. 😀
Helpful video! Keep em coming! Takes a lot to get yourself out there and share useful content. Both of these email services (and overall the Microsoft and Google ecosystems) will be good for most people.
outlook is reason for big corporates, for alone users or small comp.,teams, is better gmail. simpliest is a way. btw - main office problem is sharing out from domain. very difficult for settingd. No CalDAV support. No own domain for family users. MS is over combined chaotic system. userfriendly sw is a winner!
Hi. Thank you for this video. I currently have my business email service attached to the server service and am loathing it. I am considering using Google Business email services and am clueless as to how to separate the email from my server and separate the the two. Much less as to how to set up the account with things like what you mentioned below "things like SPF, DKIM, DMARC"... How do I go about doing all this? Thanks!
We really only have the 5 ~ 6 fonts available to write emails in gmail workspace? Is there any way to add more fonts? It doesn’t make sense have a limitation on that once we have google fonts api that is used for a lot of web pages 😟
Hi Rafael, There is a technical reason for the small number of fonts. Not all email clients can display fonts equally. Outlook, Apple Mail, Gmail - they all have sets of default fonts that differ from each other. Your email recipient’s email client will display your message in the intended font style only if this font style is compatible on their end. In other cases, your message will be displayed in the predefined email client’s fallback typeface, which might be far away from the one initially intended. Considering that Gmail is the leading email provider, it’s safe to stick to Gmail supported fonts. Hope that helps!
@@Damsoncloud While this is true, I wish we had the option of choosing the size of the font. The "Small- Medium-Large" gives too little control. Do you know if in Google Business emails, one can attach a signature card that is automatic every time one sends an email? As in, with the logo and links to our social media?
The biggest issue is this. If I have different businesses that I want to start., they don't need to be on the same platforms. I need different tools for different businesses. All too often others want to dictate how and where or when. It should ultimately be up to the person who is creating the business. Rather than forcing someone to do things the way others want. I will not be processed like chattle or cattle. I'm hard headed and stubborn .

@SassySam It is not the accent. You can speak poorly with any accent, if you mumble or swallow your words or fade your sentences towards the end. Even King Edward had to take speech lessons to improve his public speaking.
@SassySam I have no problems with the accent, perfectly clearly about 80% of the time, but he trials off some of his sentences to inaudibility which is very annoying. I suggest he makes sure he maintains his voice level consistently to the very end of his sentences.

It's brilliant! 🤩
Okay, this convinced me to not loathe Gmail so much.
Glad to hear it!!
I use Outlook as my primary email for over 5 years, I find Outlook much superior to Gmail.
Thanks for the feedback! What do you think is better in Outlook than Gmail?
@@Damsoncloud Outlook is fancier to look at & that’s about it.
outlook also has Todo integration which is superior to googles task offerings. What Gmail lacks with task management makes it useless for me.
