When I heard about his death, I was pretty shocked about it. His performance in Godzilla, 1989 Godzilla vs biollante was my favorite and I would watch it most of the time he will forever be missed.
@@SamuelG2000 wow awesome small world. I actually got into that movie because of the soundtrack because Godzilla 1989. The soundtrack was done by kochi Sugiyama. We lost a legend today, it just simply hurts for us who grew up with the Heisei series since childhood. But may your spirit remains to the hearts who loved and appreciated your work as the King of the Monsters. May you rest in peace with your fellow friends such as Nakajima-San. These are the two Godzilla suit actors that we lost. Honestly, pretty sad. Nakajima was the very first Godzilla suit actor that we had, and when Godzilla of the monsters 2019 came out that was dedicated to him in honor of his memory he will forever be miss
Farewell Satsuma-san. thank you for making this American's childhood the greatest. Goodbye Godzilla! Sayonara!! Just like in the movies. Sayonara, old friend.
Godzilla is a "friend" that humanity must have as a companion. He walks the Earth alongside us to remind us of what awaits on the other side of the atom bomb.
Spoiler It's the duality of these movies Godzilla should be feared and hated but he's the star of the movie and a cultural icon so we the audience love him. But ya it is unrealistically weird that the Japanese prime minister literally cries in sympathy as homie falls into the volcano at the end of this movie while this music plays.
Well, the Russians were the biggrst threat in the movie, just nuking Tokyo because they feared the monster, and the USA wanting to retaliate, and Japan don't knowing how to react to the big man... Godzilla was nothing compared to the war that could have started...
@@vicentecortes2953 Also the fact that they did not at *all* treat Godzilla falling into the volcano like a victory. They made that shit feel like you just watched a innocent animal get murdered.

I apreaciate this theme as sweet farevel to Showa series and as nice teaser to what will came next in Heisei. At least this is how I like to think about it. And now I have another song to cry to.
It wasn't backhanded because the emphasis was...not on how he was defeated, but the fact that he would return someday. I think also that the song is for those who defeated him, not out of hate but to save lives. They didn't want to do what had to be done. In the American version, the Steve Martin character wanted there to be a way to communicate with him and to understand how to coexist with Godzilla.
@@TheRivrPrncess This particular Godzilla didn't want to coexist although maybe by the end was ready to live in peace with Junior. I like when Godzilla grows and forgives, Heisei series provided a less "happy" version of that but at least by the end Godzilla loved someone and Junior became a Godzilla without a grudge.
How many love themes this movie has? It is kinda sad that they tried to sell this movie like some spinoff/comedy/slice of life/ save the world/ corny ass thing. First time the Kaiju came in it's true vicious form after the 1954 original one and this is how it got treated 😒.

This one was a very big hit in Japan ! By the world famous "the Dutch star sisters"
Wonder why they didn't use this for the North American version?

This theme would have also been perfect for Godzilla Vs Destroyah.
Indeed
They should use this for the final Godzilla movie of the legendary series
I could see them pulling something like that, and I dont think my poor little nerdy heart would be able to take it
Agreed
Godzilla vs Destroyah would have also been a good movie for this song as well
Facts
I can see this playing after Godzilla roars one last time and starts marching back towards the sea as the credits begin to roll.
