I had no idea Minnetonka is so cheap, I live in ne mpls and pay $1200 for a one bedroom.

It really just depends what kind of building you live in and what amenities you want! Location was most important to me (I want a whole /experience/ not just living alone) so mine ended up being more expensive but it’s worth it to me!
